Chapter 9 - Hurt

ROSÉ's POV

"Wakey! Wakey Princess!"

"Hmmm What?" I said annoyed when I felt non stopped poking on my cheeks just to wake me. Then I heard a giggle.

Ugh! That's the moment I realized where I am.

"You totally awake now?" The familiar voice inquired and I slowly open my eyes and look up just to met a beautiful brown eyes staring down directly at me. Our faces are literally close to each other since my head is leaning on her chest.

We're remained in that position for a good minute or more, until we're interrupted by the announcement that we arrived already.

I shyly detached myself from Jisoo and pretended as if it's nothing.

I look outside just to hide my embarrassment, If I'm not mistaken the drive to this place from our office is 6-7 hours. Did I slept that long?

I'm being engross to what I'm seeing when I heard the person beside me speak.

"You did sleep well chipmunk. I'm sorry if I didn't wake you up. Because I know you needed that loooooong sleep. Besides this will be a long hike too so you really need lots of energy. Are you hungry already? I asked Soojoo if we can eat and prepare ourselves first. This will be the first hike of most of the employees here as well so they really need that." She long explained not looking at me but to her stuff. She's kinda getting something out of it.

"Okay guys I have simple announcement before we go down!" Soojoo said. I have no chance to answer back to Jisoo. "I already informed the guys about this as well. We'll eat and rest first then at exactly 4am we'll start the hike already. These activity will be by two's, so choose your partner, our partner will be our guide, I mean we need to look out for each other through out the hike so choose the person you mostly trust." She added. "If you're ready get all your stuff already and eat." She finished.

I felt that Jisoo stood up so I stood up as well.

"Uh—ah Princess? I know we pla..."

"Babe!"

She was interrupted by Chanyeol.

I reluctantly look at him.

"Yeah?" I answered.

"Hi." He greeted smiling at me.

I felt guilty because these passed days I mostly felt annoyed to his presence than excited. I don't know why because of that I'm the one initiated the kiss, its too late to realized that we're in-front of Jisoo.

When I pulled away I saw a grinning Chanyeol, I was tempted to look at Jisoo's reaction but I suppressed that feeling, I mean for what? I have no obligation to her anyway.

"Hello babe." I greeted back giving him a small smile.

"You ready? Ms. Hong said that we can choose whoever we want to be our partner and since I'm your boyfriend its obvious that we should be partners." He said.

This time I looked at Jisoo's reaction but its emotionless, she's just silent getting "my" stuff that is located at the top part of the bus.

"I would love that babe but I—uh, you see, I need to be with Jisoo, if you know what I mean. We can have our own little time when we're up there okay?" I assured him. Well, technically I'm not lying to him, Jisoo and I talked about being partnered the whole trip right? I owe it to her for hurting her elbow.

He seemed disappointed but I don't have choice. I kissed him again instead, it should be just a peck but I was startled when he grabbed my nape and deepened the kiss, I don't have a choice but to respond this is the least thing I can do for him, though I'm full aware of the presence near us.
