Azure : the begginning

Chapter 5

"Azure? Azure?" said Allan.

She slowly opened her eyes.

She was lying in an alley, away from the eyes of others. Allan was in front of her, making sure she was okay.

She carried her hand to her face feeling a slight bump, "What happened?" she asked, suddenly remembering the fight between the two boys.

Allan remained silent for a moment. He looked at his friend, trying to guess her reaction. "Before I tell you, I want you to know that I tried my best, so you weren't involved in this," he said.

"Yeah fine," she said worriedly.

"OK, so as you know, we were supposed to meet at the cafe but I got involved in a fight with Mason," started Allan, "But when you saw us, you probably panicked, so you joined us and he hit you," he said.

"But I don't remember joining you," said Azure.

"Yeah that's the thing," said Allan worried, "Uhm I don't know how to tell you so I'm just going to say it; Azure you have superpowers, like me," he said not sure how Azure was going to take it.

"Yeah sure, I can fly and I'm going to save the planet tomorrow,"

"Azure it's true, some people develop them, most of the time when they need it the most. It's a natural selection, you can't control it, you just have to learn to live with it," he said.

"Okay, but how do you know I have some, I mean you were like; Azure you have superpowers, but how can you be sure," she asked.

"It gives you a sign when someone is about to develop them, you need to help this person and you become invincible to their powers, so that way, when the person can learn how to develop them he can't hurt anyone," he said.

"So you're really telling me that I have powers?" asked Azure.

"Yeah"

"What are they?" she asked.

"I'm not sure, but you have visions 'cause you don't like not knowing the future, what is going to happen. After that, I think you can either teleport yourself or run really fast, for I don't know what reason, and then I think you're super strong. For the last, well I don't know what we call that but, you can create some lightning that comes out of your hand and hurts people," said Allan.

"Lightning that comes out of my hand and hurts people, that's called electricity manipulation Allan," she said.

"Well it's true, I saw you use them, those lightning bolts, you hurt Mason when he hit you" he said in defense.

"Stop, Allan I didn't do that, I don't have... I don't remember doing that. I assume that there are some things that may be true but that... It's... no.. It's stupid Allan," said Azure as she stood up. She looked at the street, trying to think about something else.

But then she saw him, her father, crossing the street.

"No," she whispered,"No," she said louder.

Allan looked at her.

Then without realizing it, he took her hand.

Azure was about to explode, thousands of blue filaments ran through her hands, reaching up into her arms. She looked everywhere around her, trying to reach some air.

"Azure," said Allan calmly as he hugged her by her back.

"No," she whispered many times.

"Azure stop, don't hurt him, he's a scientist, he can destroy both of us if he discovers this," he said slowly.
