This is going to be really short btw. It's just a filler chapter with some more sibling bonding.

Nico was surprised to see how quickly he was getting used to living with the Waynes. He still wasn't completely used to it, and he still planned on leaving as soon as possible but he was surprised to see how reluctant he was at that the thought of leaving. The anxiousness and urgency he had felt when it came to leaving had dulled slightly.

Nico was a little disappointed in himself, he had gone through this before, and it never ended very well. Right as he was starting to grow attached to people or a place, he'd find himself alone again, though he had to admit that he had chosen to leave in the end.

He had been told that he had a habit of running away from his problems and he knew that it was true to a certain extent, but it wasn't like he immediately ran away. After the titan's war he had stayed at camp for a little while and it had seemed like everything had started to change. Everyone had acted nice for a little while but soon they forgot.

There hadn't really been anything to keep him there. The only people he had been close to at the time had been Percy and maybe Annabeth and even then, it was less like they were close and more like they were acquaintances. So, Nico had left. He didn't see what was so wrong with that except some people seemed to think that he had actually been running away from problems he didn't want to face. As far as Nico was concerned, what other people thought of him was their own problem and he shouldn't have to constantly be fighting for their approval.

...Or that's what he told himself. The truth was that it still hurt. Being ignored or gawked at simple because of who his father was, it hurt more than he would like to admit.

"Nico, are you ok?" Dick asked, interrupting Nico's thoughts.

Nico had been zoning out while staring at the black tv screen. Terry, Damian, Tim, and Duke had just left for school and Bruce was at work. Dick and Jason, having nothing that they currently needed to do or so they claimed, had decided that it would be a good idea to watch movies with Nico. It was a sort of bonding exercise. Nico was pretty sure that it had been Dick's idea and Jason had been roped into it.

They had been shocked to find out that Nico hadn't seen most Disney movies. Disney had only just started making Mickey Mouse shorts when he was a kid. It wasn't until 1938 that the first actual movie came out. So, Nico had missed things like Moanna and things like the original Disney Snow White.

Nico obviously didn't tell them this, he had lied and said that there weren't exactly TVs out on the streets.

They had been about to watch Hercules, but Dick and Jason, having noticed that Nico wasn't entirely present hadn't even turned on the tv yet.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just thinking," Nico said. "What were you thinking about?" Dick asked. Nico shrugged but didn't answer.

~~~~Time Skip~~~~~
It was official. Nico hated Disney's Hercules. He had expected them to forget about how much of an asshole he actually was, after all everyone seemed to think that he was some amazing hero, but he had been made out to be this humble, selfless hero who only wanted to protect people. They had forgotten that he only ever did these amazing feats because he had killed his wife and children. He didn't do it for others.
They had also made Hera his mother for some unknown reason. They had gotten his name wrong. And let's not forget that they made Hades the villain of the whole movie despite the fact that Hades didn't even play a major part in his story. Hades didn't give a fuck about Hercules in reality. Why would he? Hercules was Zeus's son. Hades wasn't even out for Zeus's throne and Zeus was an arrogant shit that created as much drama as possible. He wasn't the happy and loving, loyal husband that they made him out to be in the movie.
Dick and Jason thought that his hatred of the movie was hilarious.
"It's just a movie, Nico. It's a work of fiction," Dick said as Nico slumped on the couch and glared at the tv. He had laughed at Nico's obvious hatred for the movie but was now trying to pacify Nico. His tone of voice reminded Nico of a mom trying to soothe a sulking toddler. The thought made him glare harder at the tv, as if it were the reason for Dick's tone.
"They didn't get it right at all," Nico complained. Dick raised an eyebrow, "They didn't get the myth right?" Nico nodded. "You can't expect them to get it right completely. It's Disney. They're going to change some things or in this case a lot of things to appeal to the majority of the public." Nico scowled, "It's inaccurate."
"So, you haven't watched any Disney movies, but you know Greek Mythology? How does that work?" Jason said. He wasn't really asking out of curiosity more out of amusement.
"Why don't you tell us how the story is supposed to go?" Dick said. So, Nico did. He told them everything. Including the part where Hercules kills his wife out of madness. He explained that because he killed his wife and children, he had to complete twelve labors. He explained how Hera was the reason for why he was struck with madness.
When he was done Jason whistled, "Damn. That was a lot different than the movie." Dick seemed more than a little disturbed. "That's horrifying. Why would someone make up a story like that?" Nico, who knew that it was very much real, just shrugged.
"It's not like that's the only story. There's the story about that king who chopped up his son, cooked him, and fed him to the gods. There's the story about Achilles and Patroclus. That one's really sad. They just wanted to be gay together. There's also the one with Hyacinthus and Apollo. Greek mythology is full of tragic heroes, death, and fucked up shit. It's not all too different from the real world when you think about it. It just has more magic and shit in it."
"That's a depressing thought," Jason said, "But true I guess." Dick looked at both of his brothers concerned. "I guess now is not the time to ask if you guys need to see a therapist?" Nico smirked, "How do you know I won't just send my therapist to therapy?" Jason, who had gotten used to Dick asking him to see a therapist, shot a quick glare at Dick.
"Why don't we watch some marvel movies next?" Jason suggested.
They spent the next couple of hours watching marvel movies.
I had planned to do a little more with this chapter, but writer's block has me right now. I gotta figure out what I wanna do with the future chapters. Also, I'm thinking about writing a story where Achilles and Patroclus get reincarnated or whatever and get together and have a happy life bc that's what they deserve. I tried doing it a while ago, but I had some trouble with figuring out how to get it going so I deleted it. What do you guys think? Should I do it? Thanks so much for giving this book a chance and thanks for all of the votes and comments!!!! You guys are amazing!!!! :D Have a wonderful week!!!!!!!
