Digging the surface (part 3)

- the basement -

After five minutes or so of being locked down in the basement, skylar slowly opened her eyes.

She groaned
"Ughhh what happened?".

Since she heard no reply, she assumed that Shane had ditched her
"Ugh, I never should have trusted him".

Skylar started to walk up the basement stairs to get out, but the door appeared to be locked
"HE LOCKED ME IN? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?".

suddenly, skylar heard a mumbling coming from behind her
"Ughhhhhh".

Skylar gulped
"W-who's that? Show yourself?".

No-one appeared.

Skylar started to cry
"Please! Stop!".

That's when she realised who was whimpering on the floor
"Shane? What happened to you?".

Shane slowly started to wake up
"Wait where am i?".

Skylar quickly hopped her way down the stairs over to Shane
"We're in the basement, and we're locked in!".

Shane got up and groaned.
"Logan locked us in,".

Skylar stammered
"Well what do we do? How do we get out?".

Shane shrugged
"I dunno, I've never been in here before".

Skylar growled
"YOU SAID YOU HAVE!".

Shane shook his finger sarcastically
"Nuh-uh! I never said that,".

Skylar recalled her previous conversation with Shane
"Oh yeah, well now what?".

Shane smiled, clearly scared
"I mean, we kinda succeeded! Now your mum won't find us! No one might...".

Skylar suddenly had a plan
"WAIT! I have an idea...".

- the highway -

While driving at top speed, Faye turned around to view the two pups, of which she had locked both in a cage and cackled.
"Oh this is gonna be fun!".

She went on to turn on her radio and started playing chase music, as she noticed matts car zooming up towards her.

Faye grinned evily as she started singing to the song on the radio:

Who am I to disagree
I travelled the world and the seven seas!
Everybody's looking for something!

As matts car was gaining in on Zoe's car, he turned to his wife
"Are you ready?".

Zoe nodded. She was about to jump from the top of her husbands car onto Faye's, but unfortunately. Faye took a turn off the motorway and revealed she was heading towards a big bridge.

Zoe gulped
"Oh shit".

Matt grinned and he started spinning his steering wheel frantically
"Don't worry! I know a shortcut".

Matt drove his car into the forest and off the motorway, dodging the trees swiftly.

Eventually, they ramped up and flew right behind Faye in a dual carriage way.

Zoe whimpered
"I can't do the jump now! I'm too big for a dual carriage way! But pheobe...you might stand a chance!".

Pheobe queried at Zoe's shenanigans.
"Huh?".
