Tk rested well, tucked in to a spare sleeping bag after you managed to bandage him well enough, managed to get the bullet out of the gaping wound, and prevent much more blood lost. He rested asleep by you. You saw he looked the same; green hair, darker skin color, thin, and wearing clothes that seemed to engulf his smaller and thin frame. It seemed he never changed, but you can't say that just yet. It's been too soon, and too long. He might've changed mentally and emotionally, but not physically. You hoped he would still be the best friend you once had, lost, and got back.
He woke up after days on end of you nursing him back to health, where there were even the tiny moments he woke up for food or a drink, only to return back to his vulnerable and resting state. His dark brown eyes studied their surroundings, before falling onto you. "Y/N?.." He coughed out. His eyelids were a darker tint then his skin, showing his tired state. You would look over, at the building's window, then back at Tk. You had decided when helping Tk, staying in a taller building seemed like a better option to stay out of the walker's view. The building though seemed to once be a work office before, with office papers littered around, tables flipped, and glass from computer screens shattered over the ground. The window showed it was probably at dawn, another day starting with the sun peeking over the city shyly. You responded calmly to Tk. "Yes, that's me," Tk's eyes dwelled, a smile growing on his face. "Oh... I'm glad it's you.. I tried looking for you but.. I.." He started, seeming to feel bad that he hadn't been there for you in the beginning of this mess. You smiled back. Tk hadn't changed. Same looks, personality, and all. The dread faded off. "You did your best. Besides, we found each other again. You must've been on the right track then." You joked, playing off his rambling. "I'm just glad you're alive," You quickly added. Tk chuckled and slowly sat up, stretching. His joints creaked before releasing pops. A low growl made Tk jump, his eyes meeting the walker. Not just any walker; it was Peter. He growled disapprovingly. He did not like the friendship you two shared. It ate at him. The thought of you liking Tk more just because you knew him longer made him feel hateful. They would not get along well, it seemed.
You, Tk, and Peter were all on the road again. There were unnecessary hiccups along the way, with Tk and Peter arguing over stupid things. It would be even the littlest thing; like if Tk found food for you and him to share, since Peter doesn't technically need it to survive anymore, Peter would growl and snatch it, then hand it to you. It would end with Tk scolding Peter over it and Peter growling at him. You would simply walk further along your path until they realized you were gone and run after you. Which would also then lead to more arguments. You would roll your eyes. "Shut up, will you guys?! You're going to draw attention and get all of us killed." You finally said to the two, cheeks red with irritation and eyes narrowing with annoyance. Only a day in all traveling together and you couldn't handle their arguing. Well, at least they are quiet and that satisfied your annoyance well. It was finally quiet, with Tk on your left and Peter on your right, glaring at each other in silence.
You three weren't exactly out of city, like one would've expected. The silence broke as Tk spoke up, looking at you. "Y/N... Someone is here," You looked at him, still and quiet. "How?" You asked simply. Obviously no one was in sight... except walkers already killed. "I was here. The streets were full of walkers... but they're dead now. Someone's been here. Or they are here." Tk spoke back, quietly. Peter sniffed the air quietly, smelling a scent that wasn't related to scents of the rotted deceased ones. It was a musty smell, one that reeked of an alcoholic beverage imprinted into it with the faint smell of sweat mixed into it as well. Peter nodded to you, proving Tk's suspicion right. You looked at Tk, eyes widening in realtization. "It could've also been the same person who shot you." Tk stared back, eyes widening as well. He probably thought it was true too, though, you don't know what made that person shoot him. You will need to keep that mind, but right now's focus if continuing on is a safe or dangerous decision. "We can keep going... But with precaution." Peter nodded at what Tk said. You remained unamused with this, as they now decide to agree on things. "Well... Let's keep going then," You said, feeling an uneasy dread coming up on you.
Your small group continued further. You had a knife raised, with a gun in your holster that was attached to your hip. Tk held a singular gun. Peter crept around more like a dog, growling at the slightest noise, teeth bared, and his hands clenching. A bottle dropped in the distance, a glass bottle since you could hear the bottle shatter. Another alcoholic smell, one that you all could smell instead of just Peter. Peter growled loudly, his eyes catching a dark figure move in the distance. Another human, he knew. Their movements were quick and precise, while a walker's is sloppy and slower in movement. Though, some were fast, but not as this. Definitely a human. You looked in Peter's direction as Tk looked the opposite way. You three wanted to make sure all of you were on guard. The group's direction darted forward as the sound of a soft clink then the sound of a can. It rolled toward you three but stopped at the tip of your feet. It was already dust, the sun wanting to hide away. It was getting harder to see with each passing second. You saw what Peter had, just on the opposite side; a black figure move in the distance. You realized last second. You all have been watched, observed, and now have fallen into their trap. Not one's trap, but a group's. The shadows had been decoys and made you all walk further in with wanting a reason of what it was. You felt stupid, it was a natural instinct to keep going until answers were provided. "We need to get out of here," You spoke quickly, looking to your left and right at Peter and Tk. Though, you felt a sting to your forehead, forcing you to fall and the ground. Your blurry vision let you only get a glimpse of it happen to Peter and Tk until a sac was pulled over your head. Darkness took over you."Wake up, kid,"
