The sand felt warm beneath Daisy's feet as she waded into the inviting embrace of the ocean. As the waves gently lapped against her skin, the cool water enveloped her body, creating a soothing sensation. The salty scent of the ocean filled her nostrils, mingling with the gentle breeze that tousled her hair.
She floated on the surface of the ocean for somtime but fluttered her eyes open when she felt a sudden sensation of waves besides her hitting each other. She looked up to see Kai with a surf board. She stood up as her feet touched the floor of the ocean while the water reached just right below her chest.
As soon as she saw him, she rolled her eyes and the words that left her mouth were, "Yeah daisy !! Why didn't tell you her ?" She mimicked the exact words he spoke, causing him to smirk.
"Don't act as if you are enjoying this, sweetheart." He said, letting go of the surf board for it to float on water and crossed his arms around his bare chest.
"Enjoyed what ?" She tried to sound as if she was oblivious about the things going around her, though she really wasn't.
"Acting all fool ?" He twitched his lips upwards and a sudden gasp that left her lips when he grabbed both ber wrists, pulling her towards him and locked her arms around his neck causing their noses to almost touch as placed his hands on her waist.
"So, enjoying this ?" He whispered, ever so softly that it could be barely heard. She wasn't going to back off nor was she going to be intimidated by him. So she just tugged herself more upwards and secured her arms properly. "Yes, I am" she spoke confidently, looking directly in his eyes which glistened as drops of water were falling from his hair.
"I like seeing this side of yours too," he said whilst gently removing a strand of her air that was poking her eye. Before she could say something he sighed, "So, I wanted to tak about yesterday night" he said and paused too look at her reactions, she didn't say anything just tilted her head as if a sign 'go ahead.'
He chuckles, he knew she wasn't going to give in. "So crush, huh ?" He said, tucking another one of her hair behind her ear. She laughed, "So, crush, you too, huh ?" She aksed, mimicking his tone.
"I wonder who it might be ?" Mischievousness glinted his voice, "I too wonder, who's the unlucky girl ?" She said, making him raise his eyebrows.
But suddenly his eyes turned towards something on the horizon. Daisy frowned, and followed his gaze towards a distant speck on the water. As they squinted their eyes, the speck gradually took shape of a boat.
She looked at Kai and he looked as dumbfounded as she was. The white sails of the boat billowed in the wind, carrying it effortlessly through the waves. The boat seemed to be gliding towards them, as if pulled by an invisible force. With a shared glance, they both swam back to shore, where everyone's eyes were also stuck on the boat with eager gazes.
The boat glides to a halt at the deck of the ocean as the waves lap against the boat's sides. Their curiosity took the best of them and with quickened steps, they made their way towards the deck, the wooden planks creaking softly beneath their feet.
As they approached they noticed a silhouette of a a guy who looked almost the same age as then or even younger, coming out from the cabin of the boat getting outlined against the sun. He stepped onto the deck, his tanned and muscular physique caught the girl's attention. Dressed in board shorts and a casual t-shirt, he looked quite laid back.
His sun-kissed complexion and sun bleached locks. His athletic build and laid back style. The vibe seemed quite familiar to Daisy. But she couldn't pin point as to what exactly it matched with.
Before anyone could say anything. He looked through them and his eyes came to a halt when he saw Kai and the corner of his mouth twitched upwards. It was an evident fact that he knew Kai, but from the crease between Kai's brows, anyone can make out that he has know idea who he was. With confident strides, he went towards his direction and stood in front of him.
"Kai ?" He asked forwarding his one hand towards him, while the other one rested in the pocket of his trousers. With a curd nod, Kai clasped his hand firmly with him. "And you are ?" As he was confident in remembering faces, he was sure that he has never met him before.
The guy chuckled humorlessly looking down at his feet, "I am no one to you but I do have someone else in the boat who means something to you" He said, looking back up meeting his eyes. No one could fanthom the riddles he was talking in until the attention was shifted towards the boat.
