Getting to now each other over the years...

First Meeting in 2017

Lucy POV 2017
It's been a tough year for me. I've been struggling with my club Man City for a while now. I don't know if I want to continue the contract. But that's nothing I want to think about now. It's training day.
My alarm clock rings and I am torn from my thoughts. I am getting ready for training, feeding Narla and went to Man City's Training Ground. Before that I grabbed some coffee from my favorite place.

Keira POV
I am so nervous. It's my first professional contract I am about to sign. Am I good enough? I don't know.
But I can't think about that any more in detail because I hear an annoying voice in my right ear.
"Come on K. This is the best day ever."
I hear my best friend Georgia say. I've been so happy that she is by my side. Sometimes she's a bit annoying, but that's what I like and love about her. She motivates me every time on and off the pitch, tells me that I am good enough and deserve it to be here.
"I am so nervous to meet the team" I'd said to her. "What do you think, will they react well to us or do you think they think we are far too young and don't belong here?" I'd said again to G. „Calm down K. Everything will be fine. I have no doubt the team will be great to us. Just don't be star strucked"
Keira: „Well I am not the one stalking the team on insta for the last couple of weeks."
G: „ don't be ridiculous. Who stalked a specific person on Instagram again? Is she possibly playing defense and starting with L?" „ Oh shut the fuck up G. Don't be so loud there a people everywhere who can hear us talking. And I have not stalking Lucy Bronze on Instagram. I am just a fan of her football skills. That's all."

After I said that I hear a laugh from the other side of the room. G and I turn around and see THE Lucy Bronze and Steph Houghton coming directly in our direction.
Omg just breathe Keira. I said to myself. This is the worst start ever. But maybe she didn't hear what G and I are talked about.

„Hi girls, I'm Steph and this is Lucy, we're delighted to welcome you here in Man City and we're going to show you around the training ground. If you have any questions, we will be happy to help you at any time and I will assign you to your roommates later." Steph said.
"Thank you so much Steph. Keira and I are very happy to be hear."
"Yeah, thank you both." I said to them.

Still a little nervous about whether Lucy heard what I just said about her. But that should be clear up quicker as i expected.

"Don't be nervous. I was a wreck at my first days here. And also *she whispered so that only I can hear her* I am although a fan of my football skills 😉" Lucy said to me.

Omg act cool Keira. She heard what I said about her. It's ok, everything will be alright.

Lucy POV
The day is getting better than I expected to be. First in the morning as the manager called Steph and me in his office I was not happy about the decision that I was the one who is getting a new roommate. I don't like the present of new people in my circle. I act like the funny, childish person in front of other, but in reality I like being on my own. Don't be wrong, I like grabbing a coffee with my teammates after training or going for a dog walk with them, but I am not the person who tells them how I feel or what is going on in my head. And the worst to me are new people.
Steph: " Come on Lucy. I now that you don't like the idea of getting a new housemate but let's just see. Maybe there are very nice and you will get a new friend. Or maybe more..."
"Steph don't be ridiculous. I have not the intention to date some girl who is even a lot younger than me plus my teammate."
But at that moment I had no way of knowing how meeting this one girl would completely change my life from then on.

Georgia POV
I know how hard it is for Keira to meet new people especially in new situations she can't be a little wreck. What she doesn't know is that we will be not roommates from now on. I talked to Steph and ask her if she can tell us who we are rooming with after training because I know Keira will not be happy with the decision that we have to be roomed up with some older teammates from Man City so they can take us under their wings. This is a club rule and I like the idea of meeting new people.

Steph and Lucy showed us the cabins and we got changed for training. Training went well so far. I was in Demi and Steph's team and Keira was in Lucy's team. From a distance I could see that they were talking quite a lot and Keira looked very happy.

Keira POV
Training went a lot better than I expected it to be. I liked the girls. There were all very friendly to me. We get back to the training room. As I want to get under the shower, I m stoped with my eyes on one of my teammates. I'm sitting at the other end of the room opposite Lucy. When she took off her T-shirt, I could see her abs. Omg she is so fit, I can tell by what I see in this moment.
She comes directly to me and whispers in my ear „ Take a photo Walsh, it lasts longer :)"
I just smiled back at her. This was not supposed so happen. In this moment I turned to G and said : „ I can't wait to go home with you. I am so tired of this training session. It's more intense but I think that we made a really good job today."
In this moment, I saw my best friend look a little bit scared and then she tells me my worst nightmare " Kei I know you want to room with me, but earlier in the day I talked to Steph and she told me that it is a rule from Man city that new signings have to room with older teammates so that they can introduce them better in the team and make them feel welcome. Please don't freak out you got this."
From that moment, I just stand there and don't know what to do or say. G is right this is my worst nightmare. I don't like to be around new people that I don't know and it's the worst that I have to room with them. I have to see them every day after training and don't get time on my own and be pressed in a situation that I don't like.
" oh, okay that's very bad news but I think I have to handle with it from now. Do you even know who I have to room with?" I asked G.
" No not from now, but Steph told me that she will come to us after training and meet us in the lobby and tell us with who we are going to live from now."
" Then let's go. I don't want to wait any longer."

We ran from the changing room to the lobby and saw Steph and Lucy stand next to each other talking.
I hear Lucy said : " Ok but is there any chance I have not to room with her you know I don't like new people."
"Please be nice she's a very sweet girl and I know you two will get along."

Steph noticed that we are there and turns around:"Hi girls I hope your first day was good. So let's talk about the room situation. First of all Georgia you will live by me and my husband Stephan. You mentioned early in the day that you don't like dogs and the problem is with Lucy that she has a little Westie named Narla. So Keira, you are the one who is going to room with Lucy. I think that you two are getting along. I know you hope to room with Georgia, but she already told you that this is not an option."

Great I have to room with someone who doesn't even want to be roommates with me. I don't know if Lucy noticed, but me, and Georgia heard what she was saying to Steph. I thought that early in the day at training we will getting very well but it seemed that I was wrong.
" Ok come on Keira I have to feed Narla and don't have any more time. Let's grab your stuff and then we drive home and I show you your room and where you live from now on"
I said goodbye to G and we drove to Lucy's house. Well, it is now our house. I don't think I like the idea of that but I have to get along with her.
