Getting to now each other over the years...

Different way than expected

Lucy POV
When I went home Keira was not there, but her car is. I think she is with Narla outside.
Then a phone call come in: "Hello is there Lucy Bronze?"
"Hello, yes she is on the phone. Who I am talking to right now?" "Sorry I am the manager from Lyon. We saw you over the past session with Man City. You were absolute stunning. Your football IQ is amazing. This is what we are searching for at Lyon. We heard that you will be out of contract at the end of the season. How sounds Lyon for you?"
Omg is this real... or am I dreaming. This is all I ever wanted. To get the chance of winning the Champions League.
"Oh I am very grateful for that offer. I would love to play for Lyon. But first I have to sort things out with Man City."
The manager on the phone said:" Don't worry about that. We contact your club a week ago and there willing in to let you go sooner to start training and settling in."
Lucy was shocked. Her dreams are coming true." Thank you really much I appreciate that a lot. When I have to be at Lyon?"
"We want you to be there in 5 days. Can you arrange that?" " Yes of course. That shouldn't be a problem."
"Great Lucy. You will hear from us. Have a good day."

OMG- Is this really happening to me right now. Or am I dreaming. I can't wait for Keira to come home and tell her. Oh I forgot about Kei. She will be upset and sad I think but she knows that this is my dream since I was a kid, so hopefully she is happy for me.
I hear the door. This must be her. I went to the door and welcomed her and Narla.
"Hi, where have you been? Why don't you wait for me?"
Keira:"Sorry just had to get out and clear my head. Can we talk later? I have something to tell you?"
Lucy:"Sure. Let's make dinner before. I have also great news and I can't wait to tell you."

I can tell by the look of Keira after dinner that something is goining on in her head. She is very quiet.
"So Kei I have some very good news I want to share with you. When I came home earlier in the day I got a phone call from one of the managers from Lyon. They want me Kei. I should play for them. How better the day can be."
In this moment I realize that Keira's face drop from happy to sad in one second.
"Oh. I am proud of you Lucy. I now that this was your dream since you were a little girl."

This were the last words I hear from her that afternoon. I now that she is upset but why. We are good friends and I have to move countries ok but she should be happy for me. I can follow my dreams. I have achieved everything with Man City but we have to admit to ourselves that we are not on the level of winning the Campions league  and this is what I want the most in life.

Later I went upstairs and went to Keira's door. I knocked and heard a little „yeah?"
behind the door. „Hi Kei, how are you? After the news I told you, you just went upstairs and I thought that you'd be happy for me." „I am sorry Luce. I just handled it really bad. I am really happy for you and I want you to know that. I am just really bad in expressing my feelings. Sorry can you forgive me?"
„Oh Kei it's ok. I know you are happy for me . I just want to check on you."
Keira:"Thanks Luce I think I'm fine. Just a little bit sad that you are leaving me here alone in Manchester. I know i have G and the others but with you I feel different. When you have to leave?"
"I feel different with you too Kei. You are my best friend. I have to leave in 5 days. So let's make this 5 days the best we ever had ok?"

Keira POV
This was hard. I never thought that when Lucy told me she had great news that this news are the worst for me. I went through this door with the intention to talk about the evening when I expressed my feelings to her drunk, but this got in an other way. I think that she forgot that I wanted to talk to her, because she never asked again this evening. I am really happy for her, but in a sad way. I have to live on my own or search for a new housemate but I can tell you that I am not ready for that again. I have to talk about that with G she is the only one who will understand my feelings.
"Lucy I will drive to G for the evening. Don't wait for me with dinner. Bye"
When I arrived at Steph's place I saw G waiting for me. When I got out of the car and hugged her I can't stop crying. When I was on the way to her, I phoned her and told her the whole story.
"Hey Kei, it's ok. You will see each other on holiday and free days. You can visit her in Lyon when we have free time and I think she will do the same. It's not the end of your friendship."
"But G I wanted to talked to her this evening about the night. I wanted to express my feelings to her. But how can in do it now knowing that she will be gone in 5 days. That doesn't make sense."
" I know that's hard. But I want you to enjoy the time you have with her from now. Go out, grab lunch/coffee together. Have some great time with Narla. Let's organize a surprise party for her. Like a "goodbye Lucy" party. I think that Steph would help us. Let's make her last days unforgettable."
Keira:"Oh G thanks for everything. You are the best. This could be really great. I have to drive back home, i think that Lucy is waiting with dinner until I come back. Let's chat about the party the next days and organize everything"

Nobody's POV
Keira drives back home and enjoyed the evening with Lucy on the couch. She will really miss this. The cooking, cuddling up on the couch, walking Narla. But she know that they will have the best 5 days until Lucy have to go.
