Getting to now each other over the years...

Getting to know each other

Lucy and Keira drive home from training. They didn't talked much on the way home.
Keira doesn't feel very welcomed by Lucy. She is very shy by nature, but she was the one who tried to start conversations, but Lucy answered short.
Keira POV
„So Keira here are we. When I open the door please don't be afraid of Narla. She is very sweet, but act like crazy when she meet new people." Lucy said to me. „ It will be okay. My parents have dogs too so it shouldn't be a problem." i said.

Lucy opened the door and a little white westie greeted me very friendly. The first warm welcome I get by a Bronze. We went inside and I look around. Lucy has a very nice home.
We went upstairs and she showed me my bedroom „ I hope it is ok for you. I was surprised this morning by getting a new housemate, so i had no time to decorate..."
„ Oh no problem. It look gorgeous. Thank you for letting me stay with you. I now that this is not what we two had in common when we arrived this morning to training so lets make the best out of it."
I see Lucys concerned face. She must be surprised that i heard her conversation with Steph earlier, but she didn't react. She just went downstairs.

I packed my stuff on the bed and went the first time this day on my phone.
I have some messages from home, friends...
They are all asking how the first day was.
After I told my parents that i am fine and the don't have to worry about about me I get an call from one of my best friend Leah: „Omg Keira I thought you'd be dead or something. No message, no call. Glad to hear from you. How was the first day. How's G doing?". „ Hi, sorry for not sending a message but i just got back from training half an hour ago and i had no chance to call. Training was great and the girls are all in all very nice to us. G as always gets very well with the girls. You now me, I just need some time to settle down. And my housemate doesn't make ist easier for me." I said to my friend. „ Oh i thought you could rooms with G. Who are you rooming now with?"
„Lucy Bronze. But I know what you want to say so shut up. I don't like her that way and she makes it very clear after training that she isn't very happy with me in her house."
„Oh Kei i am so sorry, but i know that you to will get along. Just give her some time. I hear from the Arsenal girls and Jordan as well that Lucy don't like new people in her life and she needs time to get along with them. So she is like you in a way."
„Bye Leah. I have to get ready for the evening and make my room a little bit more comfortable. Love you and see you in a bit."

This helped a lot talking about my situation with my best friend. Maybe she is right and Lucy and i need some time to get to know each other a bit better. I hear a sound from downstairs so i went up from my bed. It is Lucy and Narla playing in the garden with a ball. I put my shoes on and went outside. Narla sees me first and went with the ball directly to me. I throw the ball and she is on her way to get it back. I see a little smile on Lucys face when I turn to her.
„Maybe you want to come on a walk with us later and grab some food?" Lucy asked me.
„ Yeah that would be nice" I answered.

1 hour later - Lucy POV
„Come on Keira, it's getting late and we want to go on a walk with Narla."
„ Yeah i am coming." she said to me from upstairs. As the went down i looked at her a little more than usual. I have to say that she is very cute in her jogger and shirt.
Maybe I have to apologize to her later for what i said to Steph in the morning. I doesn't notice that she was there. I would never have said that in front of her.
We went to a dog park near by the house so Narla can get of the leash and have some time on her own. She likes this very much.
„Keira lets sit down for a moment. I want to talked to you"
Keira looked a bit confused but went next to me on the bench. „I am very sorry for this morning. We went very well together on the pitch but at this time I don't know that i am getting a new housemate. I don't like the idea of meeting new people and letting them into my life. I know you are very nice and i have the feeling that you and I are getting very well together, but this is new for me." I looked over to Keira and see a little smile on her face.
„It's okay Luce. I know how you are feeling. I don't liked the idea of not rooming with Georgia anymore. I hate new situations and this day was tough for me as well. But I think that we can sort this out. I like you and I think that in the future we can be friends but lets not rush things." Keira said to me.
„I like the nickname Luce. It's cute. Let's grab Narla and go home and order some food."

Later we both sitting on the couch in the living room, eating and watching TV. The film is almost over and i hear a little snore next to me. It's Keira who is asleep on the opposite side of the couch. She looks very sweet, so peaceful. I doesn't want to wake her up so i put her in my arms and went upside with her. She is a very lightweight so this is a easy lift. I went to her room and lay her on the bed, covered her with a blanket. I hear a little „Thanks Luce" and went to bed too.
In my room I am in my thoughts and thinking about the day. From the worst it could start to the best end.
