The next day arrived soon and kaka left quickly with Bihari carrying his luggage. The only people left in the house were now Sampoorna, Som, Batuk Manorma and Anidita.
Manorma was mostly out of the house either on her mission or with Vidyut. Batuk was busy enjoying his vacation and played with his friends all day long only returning after the sunset. Som was busy preparing for his med exams Sampoorna either managed the house or stayed in her room.
It has been 4 days since kaka left for Kashi. Bondita spent her day reading books and helping Sampoorna. Somewhere in the back of her mind a plan was forming but her heart was reluctant. Anirudh hasn't made any move in the past days which only confirmed Bondita that his earlier action were just the effect of alcohol.
She would be lying if she said she wasn't hurt. She even felt disgusted of herself upon realising that she had been actually expecting him to make a move. But the fact that she was just an object of his unconscious desire made her realise how miserable she was.
She sat in her room contemplating wether to take those staps or not. The letter in front of her sat on the table as if challenging her. The inks seemingly mocked her determination. Bondita knew that once the letter reached on its place, it would quite obviously change her destiny.
She shook her head and folded the letter and sealed the envelope writing the address but was unable to get up and post it. She gritted her teeth and kept the envelope in the drawer. She needed time to think properly. It isn't just about her.
B:- Mei aisa kuch nhi krr skti jisse sabko dukh ho pr mei khud ko iss halat mei ab aur nhi dekh skti. Thode din aur soch leti hu fir hi kuch nirnaye ( decision) lungi.
She got up and proceeded towards the kitchen to help Sampoorna preparing the lunch.
On the other hand Anirudh sat on his seat deep buried his head in the file. Past few days has been tough. As Vidyut had predicted, Anirudh was roped into the drama or rather politics. It was good that both his dad and kaka was away or they would have beaten the shit of him. The locals weren't so pleased with the petition. That never bothered Anirudh. He genuinely wanted the law to be made but the problem was the politicians.
Now that Bondita has divorced him in front of the whole village much to his horror, he knew they would soon come after the sweet soul. From the past days he has been working on that case, trying to find a way to secure the future of those innocent children as well as to secure his wife.
He was debating between keeping Bondita to herself or to keep her safe because at the movement only one was could be chosen. He either keep Bondita selfishly to himself and put her in harms way or keep her safe, away from him.
The answer was obvious and he had no doubt he would chose her safety above all but his heart pained and he just prolonged the day. He planned to send her to calcutta for studies. That was the best way. He could meet her time to time but that would be like controlling her life. Bondita never liked the idea of going far away from home and Calcutta above all. But he would do it if it secured her future.
