Fish out of Water

Sandhya's jaw dropped by looking at the huge mansion that she was standing in front of it. Her eyes roamed around on the building and the walls, the marbles, the antique and strong wooden doors that spoke about the art. She could see the family background of Akash from the exteriors of the Mansion. The mansion screamed of culture heritage.

'Akka...Akashum Sandhyavum vanthutaanga...'
(Sis...Akash and Sandhya have arrived)
A middle aged woman's voice brought Sandhya out of her trance.Another middle aged lady brought Aarti plate and took arti to both Sandhya & Akash.

'ippavachum enga ponna enga kannula kaata unakku manasu vanthuche...'
(At least now you got heart to show up our daughter to us...)
The lady said to him with a smile making Sandhya gulped in guilt. Akash smiled at her.

'Sandhya...Ithu enga athai Sumithra and ithu chinna athai Indira'
(Sandhya...this is my elder aunt Sumithra and this is my younger aunt Indira...) He introduced to her. She inturn smiled and greeted them. She took blessings from them.In the meantime, Selvakumar & Jayakumar arrived from their works. Akash introduced Sandhya to them. Both brothers were so fond of Sandhya.

'En thangachiya veliyave nikka veche pesaporingala?...'
(Are you all in the idea of conversing with my sister in the entrance itself?...) A sudden voice made to turn everyone's attention.

Pradeep walked towards them. 'Dei Machan...'
(Dude...) Akash tried to hug him.

'Nee konjam linela nillu...naan en thangachiya paathu pesitu varen....'
(You better stand in a queue...let me first meet my sister...)
Pradeep said by blocking his hug and moved towards Sandhya. Akash jaw dropped looking at his reaction.

'Papa...epdi ma irukae...'
(Lil one...how are you?)
Pradeep asked her by caressing her hair. Sandhya eyes brimmed in tears looking at the affection the entire family shows to her. But her heart struck with guilt rather than feeling overwhelmed.

'Nalla irukaen anney...'
(I am fine bro...)
Sandhya gulped and replied to him.

'Unakku enna venumnaalum annan naan iruken...edhuvanalum enkitta kelu...'
(Whatever you want...you ask me...i am there for you....)
Pradeep said by side hugging her. She just nodded as her emotions overtook her words.

They all got inside. Preethi came running to them. She hugged Akash 'Anna...appa epdi irukaaru na....'
(Bro...how is dad?)
she sobbed hugging him.

'Appa is fine...he is doing good...naan thaan vanthuten illa) (I am here right?)'
Akash said by rubbing her back.

'Sandhya..ithu Preethi ennoda sister and Pradeep oda wife...'
(Sandhya...thus is preethi...my younger sister and pradeep's wife..)
Preethi after getting back to normal she immediately hugged Sandhya.

'I am so happy to see you anni...' Preethi said.

'Enna Annilaam koopdathinga..naan ungala vida chinna ponnu (please don't call me as Sister in law...I am younger than you..) you can call me by my name...' Sandhya politely said to her.

'Ok Sandhya...you look so beautiful just like a doll...' Preethi complimented her.

'Neengalum azhaga irukinga anni..'
(You too look beautiful sister in law)
Sandhya reciprocated. By the time, Harish came and greeted them.

'Seri enga Meerava kaanom...'
(Fine...where is Meera?)
Akash asked by gazing inside the house by the time he heard a kid screaming from inside.

'Antha kootha neeye vanthu paaru...'
(You yourself go and see the scene...) Harish said by showing inside. Akash went inside the dining hall to see Meera was snatching Spoorthi's food and having from her plate making spoorthi to scream at the top of the lungs. This scene made everyone roll their eyes.
