Chapter 10- Ravana outburst

Camilla's POV

I could feel my eyes widen. I knew of Enzo and Ravana's relationship from the beginning, but I never knew how deep it was. Hearing this made me hate them all the more.

Enzo must have known how hurt Leo would be, and he took his mate right in front of him. It is one of the most painful things that could happen to anyone. I saw Leo, and I knew he was strong. One could tell he had just told me his worst experience, and yet he remained strong.

"I...I....." I tried to say, and he cut me off.

"Don't apologize, I hate it when someone does that in a situation like this," he responded, and I swallowed my words.

"I don't know what to say," I responded.

"You don't have to," he replied.

"It's the worst thing that I have ever heard happen to anyone. I know hearing sorry may hurt, but I want you to know that you don't have to regret anything. The goddess always knew what she was doing," I said to him, and I could see him lean back in his seat.

"No, Ravana, the goddess mocked me. I remember leaving that pack that night. My tail tucked in between my legs. News of what happened flew through the air, and it was the worst shame anyone can ever experience," he responded.

I always knew the Snow Wolf pack was a great enemy of the Blood Skull pack, and I was never able to figure out why. Even when Alpha Marcel was alive, the Snow Wolves hated the Blood Skull, and this must have been the response. I remember the Snow Wolves cutting off the treaty with the Blood Skull at that time.

"I can't wait for the day I crush him beneath my feet. Imagine, after that incident and three years later, she comes knocking, apologizing, begging me to take her back as she was manipulated by Enzo," he said, and I knew how much he hated Enzo from how he spoke.

A chill ran down my spine as I froze. What if he finds out I was Enzo's mate and Marcel his Enzo's kid pup? Would he use me as an instrument of revenge? Would he reject our bond and leave me just like that? Now I was scared.

Just as I was lost in thought, the door was thrown open, and Ravana strolled into the room. She was pissed; her expression showed she must have heard most of what Leo said.

"What is the meaning of this, Ravana? Have you refused to knock on my door now?" I asked with anger, pointing out her disrespect.

"No, boss, I will not apologize. I just hate seeing myself a topic of discussion, and I wouldn't stand for it," she responded. Anger filled me at her words; how dare she.

"And what would you do about it?" I asked, enjoying this, looking like I found a perfect way to torment her. Leo sat in his seat, glaring at her. It was obvious he was disgusted and he didn't want to speak or do anything with her.

"How dare you, Ravana, walk into my office without knocking only to disrespect me and my mate," I said loudly, and I could see her eyes widening at my words. She was lost for words as she stared at me, then back at Leo, who smirked at her in horror.

"You mean, you're Leo's chosen mate?" She asked as she panicked.

"No, Ravana," I said, and I could see how tense she was and how she relaxed after hearing me say no.

"I am his fated mate and second chance mate," I responded, and I could see anger, hatred, jealousy flash through her eyes. It is obvious I had just made her super angry and mad.

"You're lying," she said, shaking her head as she looked at Leo, who had a perfect smirk on his face. I could see he was enjoying this.

"Oh no, now you call me a liar," I said angrily as I stood up from my seat and walked to her.

"You know what? I quit," she said suddenly, and I smirked.

"Oh dear, you forgot you signed a contract earlier today. You can't quit this job until after six months. I can only fire you, and I haven't," I responded, and I could see how pissed off she was.

"What is your problem? First, you maltreat me on my very first day of work, and now you steal what belongs to me, my mate," she said angrily, and I could see how angry Leo got as he stood on his feet and faced her.
