Kim Jennie
I woke up on the bathroom floor. Rolling over, I cursed the bartender for introducing me to those delicious, yet evil, candy cane martinis. Keeping my eyes shut tight, i groaned as I sat up.
"You look like shit."
I screamed and prepared myself to fight the intruder, my head pretesting the noise and movement. Grabbing the side of my head, I looked up to see Taehyung. He was leaning against the door frame with a mug of coffee. Of course, the man looked like a fucking model at...whatever time in the morning it was.
"What are you doing in my house?"
His low chuckle pissed me off but it looked attractive as hell at the same time. "This is my apartment."
At that response, i finally looked around. Sure enough, this definitely wasn't my place. A dark black and blue certain hung in the shower. There was a pile of men's clothes in the corner, half in the laundry basket and half hanging out. The counter, while fairly neat, had cologne, deodorant, and a shaving kit on it.
"Here." He stepped fully into the bathroom and handed me the mug.
I took it greedily, letting the smell and warmness engulf my senses. "Thank you."
I knew I'd be embarrassed later once the memories of last night came back to me. Right now, I was in survival mode.
He held out a hand to help me up. I just waved it off. Grabbing for the counter, I lifted myself off the floor. Taehyung just shook his head.
"You are so stubborn."
I didn't reply. Instead, i slowly sipped the miracle elixir in the mug. It tasted so good and already started to make me feel better.
"I made some breakfast. You should try to eat, soke up some of that booze." He crossed his arms over his chest, smirking at me.
"Ugh. I don't think I can eat right now."
He shrugged. "Suit yourself. I made waffles."
"Waffles?" My mouth began to water. "Waffles are my favourite."
"I know." He replied as he walked away.
I know?
I followed him to the kitchen. "I didn't realize you knew that." Or cared, i wanted to add, but didn't.
"I know a lot of things about you, Jennie." He continued to speak as he filled a plate. "I know you love waffles, but hate pancakes. Which is a little odd. I mean, aren't they the same thing?"
"No!" I protested.
He grinned and went on, "I know you've always wanted to travel, but never take the time to actually do it."
"That's..." I was going to tell him that was incorrect, but it wasn't, so I stopped.
"I know you put your career on hold when your dad got sick." He set the plate on the counter and looked at me. "I know you looked real good in your outfit last night, and it took all my might not to punch every man who looked at you."
I looked down at my disheveled outfit. I could only imagine what my hair and makeup looked like.
"Maybe right now is not the best example."
I rolled my eyes and dramatically grabbed the plate, taking it to the kitchen table. Using his comment as an excuse to turn from him so he didn't see me blush. I didn't even know how to respond.
I had no idea Taehyung remembered so much about me. Other than the fact that I was his little brother's annoying ex-girlfriend. He never seems to pay attention when I was around. At least, that's what I thought.
"Aren't you eating?" I asked as i stuffed a forkful of waffles in my mouth.
He sat across from me and shook his head. "I usually don't eat a late breakfast."
A late breakfast? I immediately looked around for a clock. 11:00!?
"Shit! I am so late for work!" I jumped up in panic.
He stood with me. "No, it's fine. Aeri covered for you. She said you'd probably call in after last night anyway."
I wanted to smack the smug smile off his face. Or kiss it off, either way.
I slowly sat back down. Clearing my throat, I glanced at him. "So..." I began, but wasn't exactly sure how to word it.
Still standing, Taehyung crossed his arms and waited. He knew what I wanted to know, but wasn't going to let me off the hook.
"Did anything happen between us last night?"
He put his hands on the table and leaned forward. "No. I wouldn't take advantage of someone as drunk as you were. Plus, when i fuck you, you won't need to ask. I'll have you writhing under my touch, begging, Nd screaming my name. Trust me, you won't forget it."
He walked away as I sat with my mouth open.
Why would he say something like that to me? To tease me? Embarrass me?
Whatever the reason, it worked. Head shot through me, and i involuntarily squeezed my thighs together.
Taehyung was putting on his coat as he walked back into the kitchen.
"Where are you going?"
"I'm late for my tux fitting." He talked as he grabbed his wallet, keys and cell phone.
"Oh!" I quickly stood up.
"No. You can stay. Finish eating. Maybe take a shower?" He quirked an eyebrow.
"Nice." I responded sarcastically. "I do have my own shower."
He laughed. "Fair enough. Just don't feel you need to rush out. I'll see you soon, Kim Jennie."
I let out a breath and sloughed back in the chair as soon as the door closed. I feel like I've been thinking this a lot lately but, what the fuck just happened?
