June 20th 2019.

The phone starts to ring sending vibrations underneath the Pillow that it hid under, the annoyance never stopping till I gave it what it wanted, attention.
My head pounded as I searched for the thing that made me realize I haven't died yet, really wishing I didn't have that realization this early. I lazily grab it looking at the contact before groaning and throwing it to the end of my bed not wanting to deal with the kraken at 12:48pm.

I grab my pillow hiding my head underneath it, trying to fall into darkness again glad the ringing stopped, well till it started again. 'Goddamn it.' I sighed forcing myself to sit up feeling the blood rush up to my brain and bones hurting in all the wrong places, truly feeling like I died anyways.

"I am coming jesus!" I yelled at nothing rolling to the spot I chucked my phone at, before pressing the accept button leaving the phone on the bed laying next to it, running my hand over my sunburnt face.

"Where the hell are you!" yelled the girl. "Good morning to you to bea" letting it be known i just woke up with the scratch of my voice. "Oh my god, you just woke up didn't you isaac." she questions with this disappointed voice i adore all so much.

"Perhaps, also maybe wrecked from the shit ton of alcohol i endured last night" i admitted as i yawn as i roll out of bed placing my phone on the dresser, entering my closet. "Are you shitting me?" she groans.

"I hope not, that's gross." I grab a random shirt smelling it to make sure it dont reek of BO and sweat too much before putting it on, same with some random pair of sweatpants. Bea ignored that as I heard shuffled movements from her end of the call and background conversations. "The meeting started almost an hour ago. Where the hell are you?" she whispered.

"At home with a killer headache, do you have any ibuprofen I could steal from ya?" I could hear Bea's infamous eye roll. "I am not in the mood for this right now, just get your perky ass over here" she commanded, making me roll my eyes this time. "Would love to but can't" i walk into the kitchen with my phone in my pocket since she loves my perky ass so much. She stays quiet which i assume is her way of telling me to hurry the fuck up.

I open the fridge expecting to see it filled with all of the things i stocked it with last week but to no shock there barely anything in there besides cans of beer, some random leftovers, condiments and a bag of rotting tomatoes that bea made me buy so i could be 'healthier' but i don't think digesting a bag of rotten tomatoes is gonna make that happen.

"Can't go back to the place that I no longer work at" I said plainly as I heard bea curse under her breath then more shuffling. "What did you do..?" I furrow my eyebrows as I open a zip lock baggie that has cold pizza placed inside it, taking one out. "I did nothing, just got fired. What are you doing that makes it so noisy?" I take a bite unphased by the bland taste, not being picky since my stomach is literally empty and I don't feel like going anywhere.

"I am trying to not let the visitors hear my plan to murder you" she cried making me laugh, "why not? They can help defend you in court if they like you enough" she sighs for the millionth time in the past 7 minutes we've been on this call, "we will talk about this later, i have work to attend to" i pull out my phone out of my pocket trying not to get grease on my phone screen, listening to her get closer to the conversations that no longer need to listen to.

"Okay then, well i am going to rethink my life choices as i watch spongebob!" I say all too enthusiastically, I hear her stumble her words trying to protest but before she could I hang up.

I walk into the oversized living room that has to much modern design that makes me sick just by looking at it, the windows touching the floor all the way up to the high ceiling is the bane of my existence since i can't just walk around the place only in my boxers since i don't think sending a grandma into cardiac arrest will look good on my already deadbeat resume.
