Ch. 5: Are You An Idiot?

"Juvia hasn't told you both the story on how she got Sakura. Maybe if you let Juvia explain it will decrease any confusion."
"I have no problem with you having a kid. Neither does Lucy or Happy. It's the Ice Princess over there who has a problem." Natsu points at Gray who is now scowling at Natsu. "Gray-Sama, if you sit down, Juvia can explain how this happened." Gray sits down next Juvia and crosses his arms, "fine but it better be a damn good reason for you having a baby." Juvia begins to explain to Gray about how this all came into place. After Juvia finishes her story Gray sighs and says, "Are you an Idiot? A baby is a huge responsibility and plus you barely know the kid! Did you think about the father? Maybe he's looking for his kid right now. Did you think about how you were going to work? You can't leave the baby alone, but you can't take her on a job! Juvia did you honestly think this through? I know you're not stupid, but what the hell is this?" Gray's words stabbed Juvia in the heart. She looks down at Sakura and starts to slowly rock her. "Gray why do you have to be an ass. Obviously Juvia thought it through or else she wouldn't be at the guild today. Just think about it from her perspective. If you see a woman dying on the floor with her baby in her arms, you kinda think hey maybe the father did this. Or maybe that woman's husband could have left her the day that Sakura was born! Do you think Juvia was going to leave a baby to fend for itself. I told Juvia I would help her! If she was ready to go on a job then I would take Sakura to my place and watch her till Juvia came back," yells Lucy. Natsu and Happy just watch the two have at each other. Getting bored of watching the two argue Natsu asks Juvia a question. "Juvia you are positive you can handle Sakura?" Juvia looks up and nods her head, "Yes Juvia is positive she can handle Sakura." Natsu pats Juvia on the head. "Good that's all you need. Who cares what the Pervert Popsicle has to say. Now I have a question, can I hold Sakura?" Juvia smiles and hands Sakura over to Natsu. "Hey Natsu, I bet if she's trained right she could probably beat Erza." Natsu laughs "Good thinking Happy! We'll train her to kick ass and then one day she will be able to bring down Erza!" Lucy stops arguing with Gray and turns her attention over to Natsu who is laughing away with the baby in his arms. "Geez Natsu, you have to be careful." Lucy walks to Natsu and repositions Sakura in his arms. "You have to support her head or else she'll get hurt."
"So like this?"
"Yeah. Just move this arm a little and there you go. Perfect."
"Ne Juvia. Doesn't Natsu and Lucy look like a little family?" Juvia gasps. Happy was right they do look like a little family.
"Kukuku. Lucy if you are going to use Sakura to lure Natsu-San in, you should've told Juvia." Lucy starts blushing like crazy. "Wha-wh-what are you talking about. I'm just trying to help him with Sakura." Happy giggles, "she liiiiiikkkkeeesss him."
"Change the subject," Lucy yells.
"Hmm Natsu-San do you know how to put a baby crib together?"
"No but I can try." Gray who has been silent for a few minutes speaks up, "Why are you asking him. He destroys things not build things."
"Yeah well both of you have a tendency of either burning things or freezing them so I don't think it matters who we ask anymore," sighs Lucy. "Gray-Sama do you know how to put one together?"
"If I have the instructions then I can probably do it. And I will do it because I owe you an apology for acting like an ass." Automatically Juvia's eyes turn to hearts. "Gray-Sama is coming to Juvia's home!" Lucy chuckles, "Natsu, you and Happy will come with me so we can buy a crib and other baby things for my house. You can put together that crib and Gray will put together the one at Juvia's house." Natsu hands Sakura back to Juvia and heads off with Lucy. "They liiikkkee each other," purrs Happy as he flies off to join the two. "Well then shall we go?" Juvia nods and puts Sakura in her stroller.
