As you walked with Lui through the bustling plaza, hands intertwined, you couldn't help but feel a sense of peace wash over you. Today was a day reserved solely for Lui, your beloved sister and closest friend. Despite the demands of your duties as demon slayers, you made sure to schedule these days at least once every two months. You refused to let the pressures of your responsibilities come between your bond with Lui.
Her eyes sparkled with excitement as she pointed out various shops and attractions along the way. As you walked, you couldn't help but be drawn towards a fabric store that caught your eye. "Look," you said, tugging her gently towards the entrance. "We can finally get those matching kimonos we've been talking about."
The two of you wandered through the store, running your fingers over the colorful bolts of fabric and admiring the intricate patterns.
"Nee-san, come on." You raised an eyebrow in confusion, "What do you mean?" She shifted uncomfortably, hesitating for a moment before speaking. "No offense but, thats kind of ugly."
You gasped and looked down at the orange and green design. "You're kind of right." She laughed and pulled out a pretty purple fabric. "This is cute."
You smiled at her, "I think that's the one." You put your arm around her and walked to the front desk to pay.
Lui's excitement bubbled over once again as she dragged you towards a nearby jewelry shop. Your eyes widened in surprise as you approached, memories flooding back to you in an instant. "No way..." you muttered, your voice barely above a whisper, causing Lui to raise an eyebrow in curiosity. "What is it?"
Your lips parted, a dreamy look in your eyes as you recalled the past. "Mom used to take us here," you explained, a soft smile playing on your lips. "When you were just a little baby," you pinched her cheek gently and she quickly shook your hand off.
You giggled and entered the store with her, the tinkling of bells announcing your arrival. "I'm gonna get something for our crows." Your eyes set on a few charms. You picked out a star charm for yours and a seashell one for Lui's.
You wrapped your fingers around them and went to look for your sister. "Lui?" You called. "Nee-san!" She walked out from behind a table, "I found something for you." She said, her eyes shining with excitement.
You tilted your head in curiosity, wondering what she had found. You reached out to take the box from her hands, your heart skipping a beat as you opened it to reveal a beautiful moon necklace.
"Oh my goodness, it's beautiful," you gasped, your eyes widening in awe as you admired the pendant. Lui's smile widened at your reaction, her happiness evident in the twinkle of her eyes.
"Good, I already paid for it," she said with a mischievous grin, her fingers deftly fastening the necklace around your neck.
You smiled sweetly at her, feeling a rush of warmth and gratitude for your thoughtful sister. "Thank you, Lui," you said sincerely, your voice filled with emotion.
Lui nodded, her own eyes shining with affection. "Of course. You look beautiful,"
After paying for the charms you had chosen, you searched for a place to eat dinner.
"What are you in the mood for?" you asked, your hand tightening around Lui's as you navigated through the bustling crowd. "Hmm, udon?" Lui suggested. You grinned at her answer, "I know the perfect place."
You ushered her into a little udon restaurant, the aroma of broth and noodles filling your senses. You found a seat by a window and sat, pushing the menu towards Lui.
Soon, a waitress made her way over to your table, her apron tied neatly around her waist. "Yoshida-san?" she inquired, her voice polite and professional.
You looked up at the girl, a sweet smile playing on your lips. "Hi Saya-chan," you greeted warmly.
She returned your smile, her eyes drifting over to Lui with curiosity. "Who's this?" she asked, her tone friendly.
"This is my sister, Lui," you replied, gesturing towards her with a proud smile.
Lui returned the greeting with a polite nod, her own smile warm and genuine as she greeted the waitress.
They exchanged pleasantries for a moment before Saya-chan took your orders. With a final smile and a nod, she bid you both goodbye, disappearing into the bustling restaurant.
Once she was out of earshot, Lui turned to you with a curious expression. "How do you know her?" she questioned, her brow furrowed slightly in confusion.
"Her family lives in the district I patrol," you explained, your voice soft as you recalled the familiar faces of the neighborhood. "I visit them sometimes."
Lui nodded in understanding, a thoughtful expression crossing her features. "That's nice of you," she remarked, her tone filled with admiration. You smiled at her words, "They're good people." you said simply, your voice tinged with fondness.

As you dug into your food, you found yourselves lost in conversation, chatting about anything and everything that came to mind. From fond childhood memories to dreams and aspirations for the future.
Lui's laughter rang out like music, filling the air with warmth and joy as you shared stories and jokes with each other. With each passing moment, you felt a sense of closeness and camaraderie with your sister.
Between bites of udon and sips of tea, you found yourselves opening up to each other, sharing your hopes, fears, and dreams for the days ahead. It was moments like these, simple yet profound, that reminded you of the deep connection you had with Lui.
As the meal drew to a close and the last of the noodles disappeared from your bowls, you couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment wash over you. With satisfied bellies and hearts full of love, you and Lui exchanged smiles, grateful for the precious moments you had shared together.
