Becky remained unconscious for the next few hours, the beeping of the machines echoed through the expansion of the room.  As the silence increases, Freen found herself building a new surge of hatred towards Dasha's mother. Mrs. Taran, the person who did this to her wife. To her Becca. She pinched the bridge of her nose, the bags under her eyes were visible and darkened enough to left proofs of her sleepless nights. The usual chubby cheeks she once had slowly faded as a result of her distress.

Freen hate hospitals, she don't like the smell of medicine, the patients going in and out of the building give her headaches, or even when the nurses come from time to time. She hate everything that conveys the risk of life, but she can't focus on her dislikes for now. She have to prioritize Becky first, the safety of her wife.

The door opened revealing Freen's parents. They flew back from their business trip the moment they heard about the incident and now they just arrived from a few hours of rest from jet lag. " Freen." Her mother cooed touching her daughter's arm. "Baby." She repeated noticing Freen is spacing out.

Freen flinched, her reflex seems to kick in the moment she yank her mother's hand away from her surprising both the two ladies. " Mom! I'm sorry! I didn't know it was you!" She apologized.

Her mother nodded, she pulled Freen in for a tight hug without Freen asking for it. She know Freen needed it the most, she wanted her daughter to feel her presence. " I'm sorry we came late! But we tried our best to get here as soon as we can."

"It's okay mom, you were in a business trip. I understand." She replied pulling away from the hug. When Mrs. Chankimha happened to look at her daughter's face, she notice the dark circles under her eyes, the tiredness from watching over Becky and from the distress about what happened. " Freen... I know you love Becky with all your heart but you also have to rest. Look at you, you lost a lot of weight, the bags under your eyes are so dark, your skin turned pale.  Becky is already in the hospital I don't want you to also be confined because you didn't take care of yourself."

"Mom i'm fine, I can handle myself. What's important here is Becky."

"Freen stop being stubborn. Do you think Becky will be happy knowing that your like this? I wonder if your still even sleeping, the pillows and blankets on the side look like it hasn't been touched. Do you think Becky would want you to risk your health for her? Becky needs you Freen, we know. But we also know that Becky needs a well Freen not a sick Freen." What her mother said knock Freen in the head. She realized that her mother has a point, she don't want her to risk her health for the other one and she know Becky  would scold her for being too careless about her well being.

"Go home for now Freen. Sleep and rest, take as much time as you want. Your father is coming here and Becca's parents are already in the police station for filing the case for Mrs. Taran." Her mom started. " I have a lot of unanswered questions for now, but it can wait. Now go and get some sleep."

"How about Becky?"

"I'm here... I won't leave her side."

"Call me if ever something happened okay mom?" She pleaded, her mom then nodded her head in anticipation. " I'm going now mom."

Freen exits the room, she let herself take in the surroundings around her and the smell of medicine is enough to make her head spin. When she reached her car, she directly opened the door only to be met by Becky's lingering scent.

Becky's perfume.

It invaded through all the spaces in her car, everything seems to convey Becky's presence making Freen shred tears of longing for her unconscious wife. She held her ring, the metal chain lying on her ring finger that she and Becky gaved to each other as promise of commitment to each other. Her necklace on the other hand carry Becky's ring, her first wedding ring and her engagement ring when Freen proposed to her for the second time at the big stadium.
