Weeks bled into one another, filled with the familiar rhythm of practice, interviews, and fan interactions. The EN- members, ever the entertainers, had taken to hosting live calls and their weekly vlogs, a chance to connect with their fans on a more personal level.
Fans, however, couldn't help but notice a shift in the group dynamic. Jeong and Won, always close friends, seemed even more inseparable.
"Jeong-hyung is practically glued to Wonnie's side in every vlog," one fan commented.
"They even hold hands and had sweet glances during live calls!" another chimed in.
"Oh my God, they look so good together 🥰," one fan commented.
Hee, the ever-observant oldest member, wasn't blind to the growing whispers. He decided to take Jeong aside for a private chat.
"Hey, Jeong," Hee began, his voice gentle, "Have you noticed the fans talking about you and Won lately?"
Jeong, usually bubbly, looked down at his shoes. "Uh, yeah, a little."
"Look," Eun-Hee continued, "I know you guys are close, but maybe try toning it down a bit. We don't know how the fans will react, and rumors can spread fast."
Jeong sighed. "Hyung, it's nothing like that! We're just comfortable together."
Eun-Hee raised an eyebrow. "Comfortable enough to hold hands and stare at each other too much hmm?"
Jeong flushed. "Okay, maybe a little much," he mumbled.
Eun-Hee patted him on the shoulder. "Just be careful, alright? We don't want anything to overshadow the group."
The next live sessions confirmed Hee's worries. As the members settled in, Jeong instinctively reached for Won's hand. But before their fingers could touch, Hee smoothly inserted himself between them.
Sometimes, as Jeong and Won settled onto the couch, seemingly oblivious to the watchful eyes of the fans, Hee strategically positioned himself between them. He could practically feel Jeong stiffen beside him, a silent protest against the physical barrier.
During a game segment, Jeong landed awkwardly, eliciting a worried frown from Won. Before Won could reach out, however, Hee was already there, a hand on Jeong's shoulder, steadying him. Jeong shot Won a helpless glance, which Won met with a playful shrug and a laugh. Jeong's pout deepened, a comical contrast to the mischievous twinkle in Won's eyes.
Jeong pouted, his lower lip jutting out in a childish way looking at his hyung.
Won, ever the playful one, just laughed and nudged Jeong with his elbow. "Looks like someone's got a case of the 'clingy-friend-blues.'"
Jeong shot him a glare that only made Won laugh harder. "Don't worry," he whispered, "we'll find ways to be close, even with Hyung watching."
Jeong couldn't help but crack a smile. Maybe Hee-hyung had a point, but there were ways around it. The playful tension between them only intensified, a secret language understood only by them, hidden beneath the watchful eyes of their hyung and their devoted fans.
Hee, caught between their playful bickering, simply sighed.
