6 - Dark Energon Essence

Megatron's POV

It's been kind of two weeks from the event of the scraplets, and they've been pretty helpful since then. Starscream hasn't shown any type of sympathy for the Unicron, avoiding him, and also avoiding me since the dark lord follows me around in that stupid spirit body. Creepy.

The incredible number of scraplets was useful for the disposal of useless materials and veicon corpses, but they tried to bite off Shockwave's arm when he tried to examine one of them. Luckily, Starscream was able to stop it from ripping off Shockwave's only good arm.

Today, the little beasts were nowhere to be found, literally no signs anywhere. And no signs of Starscream either.

Unicron: "Why are you so down? Usually, you yell at your subordinates at this time."

Megatron: "They are my soldiers, and no, everything's been oddly calm lately."

Unicron: "Is it because you found out about Starscream?"

Megatron: "...yes? No? I don't really know... what do you know?"

Unicron: "Excuse me?"

Megatron: "What do you know about Starscream?"

Unicron: "Uhm, not much. Each one of my children has a special ability, but I doubt Starscream is only able to control my beasts."

Megatron: "Yeah? And what else could he be able to do?"

Unicron: "There is one thing I haven't seen in any of my other children... Dark Energon essence."

I got up, looking at the semi-transparent Chaos Lord.

Megatron: "Dark Energon... essence?"

Unicron: "Yes, creation of their own type of dark blood."

Megatron: "...I'll call Starscream."

In no time I found myself in the medbay with Starscream, Knockout, and the Unicron as the Seeker was literally just minding his own business.

Unicron: "So, my child, me and Megatron talked."

Knockout was there only to be Starscream's support but the Seeker didn't answer to the Dark Lord.

Megatron: "Starscream."

Finally, hearing me, he looked up at my faceplate, directly in my optics. That is the first time.

Megatron: "Me and the Unicron talked and came to the conclusion that you probably have a second ability, don't you?"

The Unicron floated over my shoulder, staring at Starscream with a determined look.

Unicron: "He means Dark Energon essence."

Silence took the room, until Starscream kind of yelled a loud 'ugh' and closed his optics. When they reopened they were completely purple, not the normal kind, dark purple, same tone as Unicron's optics.

Starscream: "You happy now? Making Lord Megatron doubt about my being, was that your goal?"

He was shouting at Unicron, something I never thought I would have seen. The Dark Lord was on the point of starting an actual fight when I placed myself between the two.

Megatron: "Please, this is no matter for a fight, I'd prefer to let Starscream explain."

My optics ended up staring into those new, purple ones. They stared back, deciding gaze on his faceplate. Somehow, I like this new confidence.
