- SERA HAD NEVER BEEN MORE NERVOUS IN HER LIFE. The train's horn blew from outside and it began to move. She waved to her parents, then turned to face the two girls across from her she knew and the stranger beside her.

"Um..." Maddie said.

"Not to be rude, but..." Sera followed, directing her attention to the girl beside her.

"Who are you?" Aries asked without stumbling over her words or pausing to try not to be rude. Sera gave her a long look, Maddie hit her slightly.

"I'm...Cassie," the girl replied. "Cassie...Donovan."

"Okay..." Maddie said.

"Anyway," Aries interrupted. "This is Madeline Tonks and Serafina Weasley, I'm Aries Lestrange." Maddie whistled and looked out the window, Sera cleared her throat. The girl, Cassie, looked at each of them, confused.

"I'm sorry, I've never heard any of those names before,"

Maddie turned to her, Sera parted her lips slightly, Aries raised an eyebrow, all of them confused even more. "How?" Aries pressed.

Sera gave her a long look again, Maddie took charge of undoing the spell over her eyes, the spell made her eyes look normal with white whites, black pupils, and soft green irises. When the spell was down, anyone could easily see that her eyes had white whites, pale gray irises, and light, iron gray pupils.

"Let's just say I'm not from around here, yeah?" Cassie said, ending the conversation.

---

Three hours later, the train pulled to a stop and the students filed out.

---

Shortly after, the students were loaded onto boats headed across the lake towards the castle; the magic academy everyone in this part of the world grew up hearing about; Hogwarts. The castle was breathtaking with spires that jutted up, piercing the sky, greenhouses lining the sides of the school grounds, and the lights that came from thousands of windows shining through the darkness of the clouds.

---

There wasn't a single student that wasn't chattering as the large group of students-to-be made their way up the large sets of stairs. At the top, waited a tall old woman with a green cloak and a pointed black hat. As the students gathered, she began to speak.

"Welcome, students," she said, her voice ringing out. "Now, I will escort you into the hall shortly, but before you sit down, for those of you who don't know, you will be sorted into your houses."

Everyone listened intently waiting for the rest of the speech. "They are Gryffindor," a few whispers sounded in the hall and staircases. "Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin." Aries' lips curved up in a smirk. Bingo. She looked beside her to see Draco having had the same reaction. After the welcome speech, the professor entered the hall, leaving the students on the stairs in silence for a few short moments.

"So it's true then?" Draco said smugly. "Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts." Whispers of amazement and shock rippled through the large group of kids. Draco, followed by his 'friends', walked to the front of the group where a girl, the supposed-to-be Harry Potter boy, and...Ron Weasley were. Shit, that's Sera's brother. She gave Draco a look. Don't be an ass. He didn't see the warning and kept talking. "This is Crabbe and Goyle," he said, pointing to his 'friends'. "And I'm Malfoy, Draco Malfoy."

A small chuckle escaped from Ron, and Aries rolled her eyes. Great, just wonderful way to go, Dray. "You think my names' funny, do you?" Draco sneered. "Red hair, hand-me-down robe. You must be a Weasley, there's something you should know, Potter, you shouldn't go making friends with the wrong sort of families," he held out his hand. Oh, uh-uh, Sera's family is great, back off. "I can help you there."

Harry stared blankly for a few seconds, then, "I think I can tell the wrong sort for myself, thanks." The professor, McGonagall, appeared behind Draco and tapped him on the shoulder with a piece of parchment, then nodded to his 'friends' and Aries. He retreated back to them, glaring at Harry the whole time.

"We are ready for you now," McGonagall said, then led the students through the huge double doors. The hall, like the rest of the castle, was speechlessly magnificent. Candles hovered overhead and with the help of a spell the roof looked endless. Four tables filled the room with enough space to walk between them. At the opposite end of the grand hall, a stool was set out with an old brown, pointed hat laid out on it. As the students got closer, Aries couldn't help but realize that Cassie was nowhere to be found. But now came the part every student looked forward to; The Sorting.
