Ch 41 stick together

Han sighed to himself as the lyrics came to life around him. It was a beautiful song but it was just reminding him of how he was suffering.

He missed leeknow. Sitting next to him like this didn't help. He took the chance to stare, soaking in the moment. He wasn't sure if something like this would happen again.

He bit his lip and turned away. He refused to let the tears fall. Not yet. Not until he was alone.
He didn't want leeknow to know how affected he was by the absence.

Han felt distant when he sang his line. He smiled bitterly when it came leeknows turn. What a sick joke. To have the one who didn't care, sing about missing his love.

Leeknow turned to Han, eyes brimming with concern.
Han blinked, when leeknow suddenly grabbed his wrist.
He flinched. "Leeknow?" That's all he could manage with the shock coursing through his body.

Leeknow didn't say a word, pulling him to his feet and leading him out the door.

Hans hands were shaking and he had a million thoughts running through his head. Was leeknow upset about the staring? Or did the song lyrics make him uncomfortable? He squeezed his eyes shut? Preparing for the worst.
But it didn't come.

He was suddenly brought into the warm embrace of the man he loved. Strong arms wrapped around him, making his heart skip a beat.

Han threw his arms around his neck and held on as if his life depended on it. Leeknows hold tightened.
The comforting warmth of the hug mixed with that oh so familiar scent of pine trees in his cologne. He had longed for it all, so many nights he had dreamed of holding leeknow like this. And now it was happening. His legs felt weak.

After what seemed like several minutes, leeknow pulled away. Han wished they could have stayed like that forever. But he gulped and met his gaze.

"Hannie..." leeknow breathed, so much emotion in his voice.
Han had been waiting for him to say that for so long. Wanted so bad for him to acknowledge him. To be alone with him. It was all happening so fast he was overwhelmed with it.

He felt tears gathering in the corner of his eyes but blinked them away. He did everything he could to hold back the flood that wanted to spill.

"I'm sorry." Leeknow gave a soft regretful smile. He reached forward and cupped Hans cheek. Han put his own hand on his, staring deeply into his eyes.

Leeknow winced and his eyes closed in anger at his own stupidity his own carelessness. How could he do this to such a pure loving soul?

Leeknow trembled , tears streaming down his cheeks.
"I'm so so sorry! I can't-" he fell to his knees.
"I have just been so scared Hannie. So so scared and I know that you probably won't ever forgive me but I hate seeing you like this. You are my everything Han and I just wanted you to know-" he spluttered through sobs that shook his body.

Hans eyes softened and he bent down. "Hey." Leeknow looked up at him through ashamed eyes. Han used his thumb to wipe the tears off his face. Without much thinking, He pressed a soft kiss to leeknows forehead.

"I know." He wrapped leeknow in a forgiving hug. This was all he had wanted for weeks now. And he was getting it, he wasn't going to push him away after all this time. He still had so much love for this boy. And he was going to do everything in his power to make it work. If leeknow wasn't ready to give him an explanation yet, he would wait. At least he wasn't feeling hated anymore. That was what mattered.

Leeknow gripped his coat. "Hannie I'm so sorry I'm the worst person in the whole world how could I be so cruel to you. I don't tell you this enough but I need you. You are my other half. I wouldn't be the same without you."

Han felt a lump in his throat seeing him cry but At the same time, he was touched by the sincerity of his shaking voice. Leeknow wasn't the type to disclose such personal emotions. He didn't get deep or thoughtful as often so this meant even more because of that.

"You aren't a terrible person. Everyone does things they are ashamed of from time to time." Han comforted, placing his hands on his shoulders.
"Just use this moment to push forward and you better not do anything like this again." He scolded fondly.
Leeknow grinned through glistening eyes.
"We stick together."

Han booped his nose teasingly. "I won't let you get away so easily next time." He warned playfully.

Leeknow laughed softly and brushed the hair out of Hans eyes. "I love you. You know that?"

Hans heart skipped a beat but he answered honestly.
"I do now. I love you too." They shared another hug and entered the room once more, joined at the hand.
