Sakura POV:

"Uhh...I am so tired and it's just afternoon only", I sighed looking at the clock and stretching my arms in my office. Well being the head of the Hospital certainly has its perks, to have a Corner office on the Top floor. I looked outside the window, and observed the hustling and bustling of the village. Well it will soon be spring festival and by the looks of preparation that the villagers are doing, I guess this year they will go all out for celebrations. It makes sense, it has been three and half year since the war and for these past years, the village was still re-building and the villagers, shinobi's and civilians were both coping from the loss of their loved ones in the war. It takes a lot of time to process that trauma and to get on with life. The scars of the war still remains.

It has past been Lunch time, as I was busy with surgeries. Although, we are living in time of peace, there are still cases where teams have been ambushed and the ninja's get seriously injured. Today I had back to back two surgeries where a chunin team was attack by a band of rouge shinobi mercenaries. In this time of peace, many shinobi's are out of work as the amount of mission request are reduced due to the peace between the nations and now they have chosen the path of becoming mercenaries to earn. This has been a problem for some time now, as this is the third team in two weeks that has been attacked by these mercenaries. Anyway, I need to update on the status report of the team to Kakashi. He will deal with the same.

Now I need to eat. As I was opening my drawer to take out soldier pills to replenish my chakara, suddenly someone barged in my office.

"Hey forehead, what's up?" Ino entered my office without knocking.

"Seriously, soldier pills. You know for someone who tells people how to stay healthy and eat healthy food you sure neglect your health." She reprimanded me and moved towards my desk.

"Is that Lunch" I asked ignoring her comment.

"Yes" she replied, "and I knew you would forget to eat, so I bought lunch for both of us."

"That's why you are my bestfriend pig" I replied to her smiling and then we proceed to take out the food from the containers and spread the same on my desk and started to eat.

" So what's going on in your life, it's been so long since we have talked to each other," she said dramatically.

"We literally met last week for drinks at your place" I replied in a deadpan voice.

"Yeah, last week, whole seven days, that's a long time" she replied

" Well nothing, just had two surgeries today, the children's clinic is going well, my paperwork is piling up, the council is being pain the ass as usual, my new research on the poison is going well, I think I am near a breakthrough and..."

" Okay Okay stop. I didn't meant your work life, I mean what is going on in your personal life. Have you gone a date with someone? Recently I heard a rumour that Dr. Takashi is interested in you and have asked you out for Dinner. And by rumour I mean concrete information." She asked slyly.

"How do you..."

"You do know that the nurses like to talk right. So out with it. How was your date?" She asked teasingly.

"Okay, First of all he is not interested in me, he is just a good colleague and...

" Yeah right" she rolled her eyes

" and we did went out for dinner but when we were having our food, I received and emergency page from the hospital and have to leave before we could complete. That's it."

"So will there be a second dinner?" she asked

"I don't think so"

" You know you should go out with him, you cannot wait for Sasuke forever..." as soon as she said that, my expressions changed and I guess she noticed the same.
