Chapter 7

Chapter 7:

Sasuke POV:

Once we were outside the Hokage tower, I took good look around the newly constructed Konoha. Some of the structures were recreated same as before and some new structures were added and I know the uchiha village was completely destroyed during the pain's attack.

"It changed a lot, huh" Naruto said looking at the road ahead.

"Hnn"

"When I was summoned back here during the pain's attack, all I could see the rubbles of the buildings and the destruction the attack has caused. All the people could have died if it wasn't for granny Tsunade's slugs. It's good to see the village back at it's feet again. You know Tazuna and Inari from the land of waves came to help rebuild the village. You should see, that Inari has grown up a lot from the cheeky little kid, I tell ya... Now lets grab some Ramen" saying this he grabbed my neck and started to drag me towards the Ramen shop.

When we were going towards the Ramen shop, I can see the villagers giving me strange looks. It doesn't bother me anymore. I am an ex criminal and does not have a best track record. Anywhere I go, people look at me with distrust and stay away from me. On the other hand, all these villagers who used to despise Naruto and used to avoid him like a plague are smiling at him. Well the baka deserves it though.

Once we reached the Ramen stand, the Ramen stand owner greeted us.

"Ohh Welcome Naruto, the usual I assume?" and then he kept staring at me trying to recognise me

"Yes Old man and make it two because we are celebrating as Sasuke is back" Naruto replied cheerfully

The old man looked at me and said, "My..you have grown a lot and look different now Sasuke. Well than again it's been a long time. Well sit sit, I will bring up your orders in a few minutes, It's on the house. Enjoy." And then he left.

As we settled on our seats, Naruto looked at me smiling in a saccharine manner and asked, "So what made you come back to the village"

"I already told you in the Kakashi's office the reason for my return." I replied in a nonchalant manner.

"Yeah Right!!" he scoffed and then added, " If it was just about the reporting the incidents in the dimension, you could have sent a report. Is this have to do with my letter and a certain pink head" he said smiling and wiggling his eyebrows.

" I told you its not about her," I said in a deadpan voice keeping my expression neutral but on the inside, I am a little embarrassed that subconsciously she is the reason that I came back.

" Denial Denial," he said by shaking his head.

As I was about to reply to him, our orders came and we started digging in. It's been a long time since I had a hot cooked meal. Well when you are continuously travelling, having good food is a luxury. As we were having our food, Naruto keeps telling me about all the changes in the village and all about the Konoha 11.

As we were finishing up our food an Anbu appeared at the shop. He is wearing an owl mask.

"Narurto, Hokage has summoned you for a council meeting." He relayed the message and disappeared.

"Oh shit...I have completely forgot about that." He said in a panicky voice. "Ohh I will see you tonight at home Sasuske. I have to go now. See ya."

"But Naruto wait...." He left immediately

"Where the hell is your new home" I muttered under my breath.

After completing my food, I got ready to leave. Now what should I do. A thought cross my mind to visit Sakura but I ignored it. She will anyway visit me.

The sun was setting and the skies were turning dark. As I was walking on the streets, not the crowded one's as I don't want to get anymore attention that I have already received, I came across a lamppost and then I saw her, she was walking towards me. I don't think she has noticed my presence which is quite disturbing as she should be vigilant about her surroundings. A shinobi needs to be on alert all the time, but I guess she is in village and nobody will be stupid enough to attack the 5th Hokage disciple. Her chakara level is quite low. She has changed since the last time I saw her, that was three years ago. She looks more dignified and have a womanly charm around her. Her hair is still short and the diamond mark on her forehead shines brightly, signifies her strength. As I was walking towards her, she noticed my presence. Her emerald eyes shines brightly once she saw me and she gave me one of her gentle smile.

"Welcome Home Sasuke" she said.

I smirked and moved towards her and replied, "I am Home Sakura."
