Rescuing Rouge

Classic and I made our way to another White Space of City Escape and I saw a white statue of Rouge, my stepmother.

"Stepmother," I exclaimed as I touched her white stoned face.

"I'm so sorry that I couldn't save you before... this time I will," I added while shedding tears.

Classic looked at me with sadness and gave a questionable gesture about Rouge.

"Classic, Rouge is my stepmother. Even though she steals jewels and everything, I still love her and my stepdad. I'm pretty sure he's not gonna be happy about this," I said, voice-breaking.

Classic gave me a pat on the back, knowing that we're going to get everyone back from their lifeless states. We walked into City Escape and it was the same thing as the other worlds. Suddenly Classic gave me a hoverboard and we started surfing down the road. I started to feel this awesome breeze until some type of truck robot started chasing us.

"This is my escape. I'm running through this world. And I'm not looking back," I sang as we ran on the sides of the buildings.

"'Cause I know I can go where no one's ever gone. And I'm not looking back," I continued as the robot's wires started coming out.

"But how will I know when I get there? And how will I know when to leave? We've all gotta start from somewhere, and it's right there for me. The possibilities are never-ending," I continued as we dodged the wires.

"I see it, I see it, and now it's all within my reach. Endless possibility. I see it, I see it now; it's always been inside of me. And now I feel so free, endless possibility," I continued as we made ourselves back on the ground.

"And so I'll carry on; my time to shine has come. I feel it!. As fast as I can go, straight to the top I know. You'll see it!" I continued as we jumped into an obstacle course in outer space.

"So please wake me up when I get there. It feels like I'm lost in a dream. I know in my heart that it's my time, and I already see. The possibilities are never-ending," I continued as we began running.

"I see it, I see it, and now it's all within my reach. Endless possibility. I see it, I see it now; it's always been inside of me. And now I feel so free, endless possibility," I continued as we started jumping down obstacles.

While me and Classic were still running, Shadow spotted us and started running after us.

"Oh no... Please don't tell me that I have to fight my stepfather, the Ultimate Lifeform himself," I said in fear.

"Drop that smile, 'cause you're beaten again," Shadow sang.

"No, this is where my journey begins," I sang as me and Classic jumped over the obstacles.

"You're losin' speed — You're losin' your flow," Shadow sang.

"But inside me is a power you'll never know," I sang.

"Then let it out; it's inside you," Shadow sang.

"Better all stand back, 'cause I'm coming through," I sang as we got teleported back to the city.

We continued running through the city and noticed Shadow gripping onto my hand and Classic gripping the other.

"I see it, I see it, and now it's all within my reach. I see it, I see it now; it's always been inside of me," I sang.

"I see it, I see it, and now it's all within my reach," I sang.

"Endless possibility," Shadow vocalized.

"I see it, I see it now; it's always been inside of me. And now I feel so free, endless possibility," I sang.

"Endless possibility," Shadow sang.

"Endless possibility," I sang.

"Endless possibility," Shadow sang.

"Endless possibility," I ended as we made our way back to the White Space.

The colors started coming back to City Escape and a statue of Rouge is restoring itself, turning her to normal. She realizes she is free, flies into the air, and then lands on the ground.

"How did it..." Shadow said in shock.

"Stepmother," I exclaimed as I hugged her tight.

"Cutie," Rouge exclaimed as she hugged me back.

"Rouge, how did you..." Shadow stuttered in shock.

"It's a long story and..." Rouge gets cutted off as she hears me crying on her neck.

"Cutie, are you..." She asked.

"I'M SO SORRY (hics) (sobs) I TRIED TO SAVE YOU AND UNCLE KNUCKS! (sobs) I PULLED YOU GUYS WITH ALL OF MY STRENGTH AND (sobs hard)," I bawled in tears.

"Shhh.... Shhh... Shhh... Cutie, it's okay... I'm here now. I'm here now," Rouge said while patting my back.

Shadow and Classic walked over to me and Rouge and tried to comfort me as much as they could.

"Calm down, Ultimate Lifeform. We didn't know you're gonna be so frazzled. It's okay," Shadow said, comforting.

After I calmed down, we broke the hug and I still have tears streaming down my face.

"Alright... I have to go and save everyone... Be back soon," I said, voice-breaking as Classic and I continued running.
