The sound of notifications woke Soyeon from her much needed sleep... She sat straight rubbing her eyes,

" Why is this going crazy at this hour, ahh"

She glanced at Yuqi who was sleeping like a baby despite the noise...Without even knowing, her lips curled upwards... She adjusted the blanket covering the younger one before removing a few hair strands from the Beijing puppy's face.... She has always felt protective towards the Chinese even though she never showed it in front of others... She knew how much Yuqi looked up to her as their leader and her unnie... Whenever she worked on a new song for the group, she kept challenging herself, to do better, to not fail her group, to not disappoint her biggest fan....

Another notification distracted her from Yuqi....She grabbed her phone from the nightstand and checked the charts first...HWAA and the album are still doing well. She smiled to herself knowing she didn't disappoint them this time either...

That was, until she read her messages, all directing to articles of the same title... Soyeon felt her heart racing...

No....

No ..... 

this can't be....

   Soyeon got out of bed and went to their living room. She didn't know what to think anymore. She wanted to yell... Break the wrists of whoever wrote those articles... But she can't... She is the leader of one of the most popular k-pop girl group (G)I-DLE. She needs to have it all under control... She needs to stay strong, for her group....for her members... for So----

" Soyeon!!? Why are you up so early? We don't have any schedules"

  Soojin walked towards their leader with concern... Soyeon looked at her, not knowing what to say, what to do... One of the best songwriters in k-pop couldn't find any words to describe her mind...The strongest, charismatic leader couldn't uphold her composure... She pulled her best friend into a hug...

  Soyeon wasn't fond of physical affection. She rarely showed her real emotions or feelings to the public, even her members... So this sudden act of the tiny leader shocked the taller dancer.Soojin knew something serious was going on....if not Soyeon wouldn't act like this.... Her heart was racing as well as the younger one but she needed to stay calm, for her leader, her best friend... Soyeon never depended on anyone for her personal affairs, except Soojin. Both of them knew each other like the palm of their hands. They were each other's comfort place.

"Soyeon-ah, I am here, okay... What is going on? Talk to me... "

  Soyeon tightened her hold once again before letting her go... She was confused. She felt like she didn't know what to do for the first time in her career. She took her phone out of her pocket and opened the recent tab...

" Soojin ....I -- I don't know what to say... I -- I failed you.. I am really sorry...."

  Tears were clouding the leader's vision... Soojin held her closer patting her head and running her fingers through the younger ones hair... She knew something very wrong had happened... She didn't want to look at the phone....she was scared... If it had Soyeon  tearing up in her arms like this, she couldn't imagine what it would do to her. But, she had to face it, whatever it was....Soojin thought to herself,

"We can survive anything as long as we are together"

She took the phone from Soyeon's hands and read the title of the article.
