I pull my layers on, one by one. Today is the day I'm finally going to Jotunhiem! I wrap my fur coat around myself, burying my body in the warmth of it.
"LADY Y/N! COME! LET US LEAVE! HEMDALL WILL NOT WAIT ALL DAY!" Thor boomed from outside my chambers.

"Coming!" I rush and grab my things, walking out of my room. I have been living in Asgard for a while now, by a scholarship to their prestigious school of science. I am the first mortal to attend, and being the first female mortal? I felt like a god myself sometimes.

Once I sprint down the rainbow bridge, I catch up to Thor, who chuckles at my winded breathing. Heimdall opens the bifrost, and I step inside. Cool flitters of magic tickles my skin, before an icy breeze hits me like a semitruck. My whole body shivers, and I hold my coat tighter to my body, stepping into what looks like a frozen wasteland. The whole landscape is ice and snow, except for the villages and ginormous castle in the distance. It kind of looked like Elsa's palace, but there isn't much you can do with ice, right?

Tall, thin towers rise up into the whispy white clouds. The walls were fogged with frost, for privacy, I assume.
I feel a warm hand on my shoulder, and I subconsciously lean into the touch.

Thor speaks in a less thundering tone, "Are you alright, Lady Y/N? Are you warm enough?"
I shake my head no, my teeth chattering like a wind up toy. He pulls his cape up, wrapping it around my shoulder and holding me close to him. Warmth envelopes me as we finish our walk towards the castle.

The giant doors open, and it feels almost... colder inside? I tug on Thors coat for more heat, and he pulls me closer. I look around, only to be met with the waists of giant beings, with blue skin, presumably ranging from 8-15 feet tall. They are all endowed with ranges of expensive looking clothing, while one of them sits on a throne in the center of the room.

Thor starts walking up to it, dragging me with him like a puppy on a leash. I shudder, this time not from the frozen atmosphere. I was always used to feeling short, being 5'4, especially in Asgard, but I feel like a minuscule insect around these frost giants. I tilt my head up to look at who is seemingly the king, and curtsy while Thor just talks to him like they're old friends.

"Laufey! It is wonderful to see you again! I'm so excited to see my brother from another mother!"
Brother from another mother? Like, a friend? I hate staying silent like this, I hate not speaking up about my questions, but the fear of the giants surrounding me keeps my lips pressed together.

Laufey keeps his face stoic, he must not be much of a talker. "Do not try to fool me, Odinson, I know you're here to see my weasley son, Loki."

Thor nods. Loki.... Loki, Loki, Loki..... what a beautiful name. Loki.... I wonder why his own father called him weasely? This race is comprised of giants!

Clicks on the floor snap me out of my thoughts, and I look up, expecting to see another skyscraper of a humanoid, but I'm met with one much closer to Thor's height. He looks just like every other Jotun, but he seems to be about two inches shorter than Thor, maybe 6'4. He glances at me as he walks over to Thor, giving him a handshake and hug. He glances at me again, looking me up and down this time. What is his problem?

When he pulls away from the hug, he rips his gaze away from me and fixes the collar of his clothes. Stuck-up asshole. He is Loki? I expected someone nicer. He then turns to me, and I turn up my nose, giving him a taste of his own medicine.

After the servants have escorted me and Thor to our rooms, which have been heated for our health, I flop down on the bed.

"What an asshole! He's so caught up in finally not being the shortest one and suddenly he acts like a bastard, how dare he—"

I hear my door creak open, making my mouth snap shut. It's Loki.

Did he hear me?!
