After a while people go back to what they are doing. Margo and her family congratulate me, and that food is ready.
"Ready to eat," James asks.
"I'm starving! If I went on any longer I would have eaten my arm," I reply. We laugh and head to the table.
Everyone sits and James stands up to make a speech.
"Thank you everyone for coming, even though I didn't plan this. My mother was stalking me. She hunted me down and forcefully made me hold this party." Everyone laughs. "I'm not joking."
James takes my hand and winks at me. I give him a scared, but happy look. He continues to talk.
"Besides that, I have a big announcement to make...my gorgeous wife and I will be having a child. We just found out that she is pregnant!"
Everyone smiles and claps. I guess I was worried for nothing.
We eat and all is good. Everyone starts to leave. On their way out they all congratulate me.
I'm exhausted by the time it's done. I curl up on the couch and fall asleep. James was right behind me.
