16 - The Accident.

We take a cab to the restaurant. The cab ride is silent.

We were about to pull over when we crashed into a building wall. Everything goes hazy and I black out.

Someone is shaking me awake, but it's not John. It's Sebation or Seb.

"Seb, what happened," I ask.

"The cabby crashed you into the wall, miss. He ran and one of the over man is chasing him," he replies.

"How long has it been? Where's John?!"

"It's been only about 5 minutes. John was taken to a hospital already. He was hurt more than you. I'm here to escort you to a hospital."

"I'm fine Seb. I just cut my forehead from what it feels like. Thank you for your concern though."

"I'm sorry, miss, it's an order of Jim's that if you are hurt I have to immediately take you to a hospital."

"You can, after I talk to the cab driver."

"Yes, miss. I just got word that he was caught a block away."

We start walking to the location.

"Why the hell are you calling me miss?"

"I'm not on a personal level with you."

"Well let's start. Just call me Tori."

"Yes, Tori.

We make it to the sight and he is being held in an alleyway. I walk up to him and start interrogating him.

"Who do you work for," I ask.

"Why would I tell you," he responds.

"I'm guessing you thought I was defenseless without Mr. Moriarty, yes?"

"You don't even have a job! No training! You're surely defenseless."

I slap him across the face.

"I am not defenseless. You're employer is greatly mistaken. Now, who do you work for before I send out my team to kill your family."

"Never."

"Fine. You're family will die with you!" I get a gun and hold it to his head.

"Fine, fine. I'm working for a Mr. Jenisus!"

"Ohhh...he's lost his touch. Getting his facts wrong and a failed murder. Leaving clues everywhere."

"What are you going to do to me?"

"I'll see you in hell. Sit on the ground." He sits. "It is true I am not as good S I used to be, but not completely hopeless. I have Moriarty which should be enough incentive to stay away, but not for your employer."

I grab a needle from Seb.

"This will be painless. Like I said, I've gotten softer, but not by much. You'll go to sleep instantly. No pain, no sufferening," I continue.

"What about my family," the man asks.

"Dammit! You took this job because this was all you could find. You are poor and have nothing to give your family. They are starving and have nothing. Am I wrong?"

"No."

"I'll get your family out if here. You can live in Germany. I'll get your family a new identity and a house. Do you think you could find a job from there?"

"Yes miss, thank you so much! God bless you!"

I help him up.

"I'm already going to hell. You don't know me like others."

"I think otherwise."

"Is it hard to take care off kids? I'm having my first."

"At times, but they are a real joy. Congratulations, miss."

"Send me a picture of your family if you can."

"Yes, I will. I expect to see a picture of your child when the time comes."

"I'll send you a photo. What's your name?"

"Billie. Billie Johnston, you?"

"Tori Moriarty. Nice to meet you."

"You too, I've never met a Moriarty as nice as you."

"Well there is a first time for everything. Get him and his family to safety, you know what to from there."

One of the men escort him away. There was 5 men in total. I should have expected Jim to have snipers following me.

"Ok, hospital," I say.

"Yes, Tori. You've lost a lot of blood," Seb says.

I go to walk away, but I get dizzy.

"Seb?"

"Already on it."

He picks me up, and we head to a car. I cling to his shirt.

"I'm going Seb. I'm gunna pass out."

"You will be fine. Your baby will be fine."

We get to the car and I'm still clinging on to Seb's shirt.

He setting me down on the seat when I realize it's not a seat and it's not a regular car. It's an ambulance and a stretcher.

He lays me down, but I don't want to let go. Seb pulls my hands off of his shirt.

"It's going to be ok. I'll see you later."

I'm wealed into an ambulance. People are talking, but I can't hear them. It's all gone hazy. What the hell just happened?
