How could something so serene hide such dangerous things?

The words rang in your head again and again with every step you took along the empty fields of Tokyo Jujutsu High. There you were, curiously observing your school, accompanied by nothing but your thoughts. The cold morning breeze greeted your skin in each step you took, feathery clouds spread across the sky as you gazed upon the blue horizon.

It was a beautiful morning.

With your hands clasped behind you, you closed your eyes, basking in the mesmerizing scenery. Then came your recurring thought. It seemed almost impossible that in such a serene place, young teenagers are literally honing their skills to fight to death; to ensure that their days on Earth were counted.

It was a random and strange thing to think about, really. You knew it was.

However, the thoughts plaguing your mind instantly faded when, out of nowhere, you felt a tap on your left shoulder. You opened your eyes, turning to the same direction yet you were met with nothing but the empty school field. Confused, you bob your head back to focus on your track only to be greeted by the sight of a certain dark-haired boy who now stood beside you–opposite to where he tapped you– with a smile playing on his lips.

Geto Suguru.

And you thought that the morning couldn't get even more beautiful.

There was a swift exchange of good mornings before he made it evident that he approached you for something more than a mere sweet greeting.

"I didn't know you were a fan of morning walks too, (Y/N)-chan," Geto smiled as he walked with you.

"I didn't know it either, Suguru-kun."

The teenage boy beside you was tall. There was no denying that. You knew you were like a tiny gremlin with him by your side. Yet, he did his best to try and conceal his struggle as he attempted to slow himself down and take smaller strides to match your pace. Key word: try.

A small, gentle smile tugged the corner of your lips. He was adorable.

Of course, you noticed his struggle and decided to take longer strides to at least help him. After all, you thought it would be unfair if he was the only one struggling. This way, you two were and you found it to be comforting, somehow.

"What brings you here, Suguru-kun? Do you like morning walks?" you asked, gazing upon him.

"Depends on who I'm with."

Geto's hands remained in his pockets, something that has been a habit of both him and Gojo. Perhaps your eyes have basked in the sunlight for far too long but you notice him fiddling with something kept in his very pocket. Something that was perhaps in his grip, squeezing it.

As if on cue, Geto stopped on his tracks which you reciprocated.

"Here. Let's say it's a belated welcoming gift, okay?" he held out his right hand in front of you. Your eyes fell from his face to his open palm. There rested a small, rectangular velvet box. How deep were his pockets, even?

"S-Suguru–"

"Mm-mm. It's a gift. I'm gonna be hurt if you don't accept it." his eyes squinted in a playful sorrow. You knew he was joking in the last part. "Deeply hurt."
