Aurora stared at the woman on her screen in shock. " You want me to do what?!" she breathed still in disbelief at what Laswell told her. "No."
"C'mon Ro they aren't that bad." Laswell understood the girls apprehension given her history but this was a perfect fit. " TF 141 don't have any operatives with your skillset and they're good men Aurora."
"They're men Kate." Aurora deadpans. "No."
"Do you trust me?" Laswell asks seriously "With my life." Comes Aurora's immediate response.
"Then trust me when i say TF141 and Los Vaqueros are NOTHING like TF N.E.S.T1 this will be good for you and honestly those boys need someone like you" Laswell smiles softly.
"What someone with tits?" comes the sarcastic scoff from Aurora
"No someone kickass with tits." Laswell winks making the other woman laugh.
"Fine." Aurora sighs "I'll make you a deal. One month and if I still want to come home and just be a solo operative with you as my handler I can."
"Weird" Laswell says
"What is?" Aurora asks
"They asked for a month to sus you out as well, all they know is your call sign, your age, and your age of enlistment so expect to be tested" kate chuckles.
"Lovely" Aurora pinches the bridge of her nose "in that case I'm bringing Ironhide so they'll need intel clearance"
"I figured. He'd just track you if you didn't, he's never far from you. And clearance wont be a problem, I already told them you're coming with a companion which raised some eyebrows but I figured you'd want to do the honors." Laswell grinned
"I cant wait to see their faces." Now it was Aurora's turn to grin before she turned serious again "Don't make me regret this Kate. Now where am I headed?"
