SHE DIDNT HAVE A CLEAR HEAD, she just wanted to forget. She didn't feel like filling the glass again and again, which is why, after a few glasses she throws it away and drank straight from the bottle, letting the shards on the floor. When one was empty she went straight to the next one while she smoked in the luxury kitchen, where she goes through every emotion.

Her makeup doesn't look like it did before, it was smudged. Everything around her shows a perfect life, as if a family lived here that was simply perfect, she knew that nothing was perfect.

She had to get out before she will go crazy, so when she wanted to take her things the door opened and a drunk Mattheo came in, but when he saw the state his wife was in, he quickly sobered up.

He saw shards lying on the floor and that she looked like a mess, "Lili, what-"

"I texted you, you didn't respond. Where were you?" she spoke slurred while Mattheo was still confused. He moved closer to her, but she held the bottle in front of her and stepped back.

"Lili, you knew I was with the guys, I just lost track of time. Sorry about that but what happen-"

"Oh we're lying now." She laughed, but he found no reason for this.

"What?"

"Y'know what's bothering me? Seeing my husband looking pretty cozy with his ex and then lie about it, a bit fucked up don't you think?"

His eyes widened, as he stepping closer to her but she went further away from him, "Please lili, it's not what you think. We just bumped into each other, and someone took a picture.

Lili sighed, hurt and frustrated, walks away, taking a moment to cool down. But Mattheo follows her into the bedroom.

"It's not just about the picture, Mattheo. It's about trust. I need to know I can trust you."

"Lili, you know my history with her. But that's exactly what it is—history. I chose you over her, she never meant anything to me. I love you."

Lili, visibly upset, starts packing a bag, "I need some space, Mattheo. I can't deal with this right now, and I'm afraid I will say something now that I will regret."

But he didn't want her to leave in this state, "Lili, please. Stay and sober up, we can talk later."

She laughed, "Talk? You expect me to just brush this off? I saw the picture, Mattheo!"

"It was innocent. I can't control what people post."

"Innocent? You conveniently forget our history with her. I can't believe you'd let her back into our lives like this."

Mattheo, frustrated, raises his voice, "I can't change my past, Lili! I chose you, remember?"

Lili sarcastically, "Oh, bravo! You chose me over a fling. That's supposed to make me feel special?"

Mattheo, now defensively, "You're blowing this out of proportion. You never trust me, no matter what I do."

Lili, was now angry, "Maybe if you gave me a reason to trust you completely, we wouldn't be here!"

Their argument escalates, words cutting deeper with each exchange. Both Mattheo and Lili find themselves questioning the strength of their relationship in the heat of the moment.

"You always bring up my past, but what about yours? Can we talk about how you never fully let go of your insecurities?" That wasn't what she needed to hear, she had enough of this.

"Wow this is not about me right now, Mattheo. It's about you and your questionable actions."

Mattheo, frustrated, slams his hand on the table, "I can't keep paying for my mistakes forever! I'm trying to be better, but you're not making it easy."

Lili, tears welling up, "You think it's easy for me? Every time you slip up, it's a reminder of what we've been through."

The atmosphere becomes even more charged, with Mattheo and Lili struggling to find common ground. "Maybe we're just stuck in a cycle, Lili. Maybe we're better off apart."

Lili, hurt and shocked, "Is that what you want? Okay, I'm making it easy for you, I'm outta here."
She walks away, with her bag in her hand after he dropped the words, and as soon as he said it, he regretted it.

He couldn't let her go, so he ran after her as she was already out the door, "Lili, please, don't give up on us. I know I messed up, but I love you and our kids. I can't bear to lose you, I just said some shit because you're accusing me of something I didn't do!"

Lili, on the verge of tears, "I thought we could make it through anything, but I can't keep living like this, wondering if you're going to break my heart again, Mattheo please let me go and deal with this my way." She almost broke down because she knew deep down that it's her insecurities that makes this to such big deal.

Mattheo, was only confused and broken by hearing the cracks in her voice, he was stepping closer and holding her against her will, "Please I'll do anything, Lili. I'll go to counseling, I'll prove to you that I can change. Just stay."

Mattheo, now really breaking down, "I never wanted us to end up like this. You mean everything to me. I can't imagine a life without you."

Lili, with a heavy sigh, "I need time, Mattheo. I need to figure out why I am like this."

As Mattheo pleads for a second chance, "I don't care how you are, I want you in every circumstance, love. Please stay for me." Lili faces the painful decision of whether to continue fighting or just run away from the problem.

So she left.
