Peppa tossed and turned in her bed. "Something isn't right," she thought to herself. "what could possibly be wrong?" Peppa could hear the rain, dripping down the side of the house. Chloe, her cousin visited her house the day before. It was fun seeing Chloe, she may be a little bit older than Peppa, but they got along really well.

Peppa checked the clock. It was 5:30 am, exactly one hour before she should wake up. Her eyes felt heavy, and soon enough, she was falling back asleep. She started to imagine how it would be when she sees her best friend, Susie again.

Susie is a beautiful woman, sensible and kind. Peppa had always liked Susie. She was a bit of a flirt, but Peppa was willing to give her a chance. Susie did ring Peppa just days before the events of this chapter to confess her unconditional love for Peppa Pig. Peppa had not stopped thinking about her since. She tried to imagine the feeling of Susie's soft, pink lips on hers, the feeling was beautiful. This feeling could not be interrupted, Peppa thought to herself. But oh, how she was wrong.

"BANG BANG BANG!" What could that obnoxious noise be? Lightning from the storm? The clouds hinted towards the end of the storm, so that could not be right. Though she was not the stealthiest person, she quietly climbed down the ladder and walked out of the room. Peppa sneaked down the halls, and heard Daddy Pig open the door. "Mr. Pig, I would like to inform you that your niece has been reported missing." The shock on Daddy Pig's face must have been...well...shocking! "Being the authorities, the British police have every right to enter and search your home, and in this situation, we must enter your house to search for evidence or proof that you are innocent." This was unfortunately legal in the area that they live in. "But sir, I do insist that you have a warrant or permit of some sort, for there is nothing that I need to tell you. Now, leave my house at this instant!" Peppa could tell that the police were getting mad. "Mr. Pig, I do say, you have some attitude this morning. Now, if there is truly nothing to hide, then why don't you tell us now, before we have to make this personal." Peppa could not stand this anymore. In the blink of an eye, she jumped out from her hiding place, startling both her father and the police officers. "My Daddy is innocent! You should not have the right to enter our house without permission by law!" The police stood there for a second. They started to laugh. "You must know Mr. Madison to be so aware of your rights. What a strong, courageous girl, jumping out and disrespecting the British authorities! You must have read the United States Constitution, I trust that you can insult us for hours on end, hold your nose up in the air and call it independence. But my darling, this is England! You may be protected under the amendments that are promised to Americans, but you are certainly not protected by them here. Now, run off, little girl, and go back to playing with your dolls." This was the most outrageous insult that Peppa had ever heard. Just as she was about to jump on the officer, Daddy Pig signaled her to return to her room. She went back, both angry and excited.
