The timing was excellent. George had left the room, Mummy was still out shopping, and Father was, shall we say, preoccupied at the moment. Susie cautiously walked into the room. "If you will not be compelled to have suspicion by yourself, then you must be informed by me that my father is in a lot of trouble." Peppa finally told her friend as she sat on the bed. Susie's expression was not only confused, but it showed concern for her best friend. Though the recent events were intriguing, Susie managed to stay silent throughout the serious lecture. "What should we do now?" Susie said, breaking the silence at the end of the conversation. "You seem stressed and I was wondering if there is anything that I could do about it." Peppa's expression changed fast. "I don't know, but Susie, I have been aware that you have been acting strange lately. You are, and I trust that you won't take much offense off of these remarks, usually an arrogant, obnoxious, and loudmouth bother, but lately you have been just the opposite. Are you hiding anything from me?" Peppa's interrogation left Susie startled. She knew that she was cornered, and she could either fight back or respond honestly. Susie chose the most trustworthy way out of the mess that she was in, and responded as honestly as she could. "Peppa, there is something that I have been meaning to tell you. I think that I like you, and I want to be the one to court you and love you and kiss you and all of these other things. My dear Peppa, please tell me now that you are not as affectionate to me as I am to you so I don't have to suffer through the misery of the suspense that is possible if not for your rejection." Susie looked Peppa in the eyes. Peppa took no hesitation to respond. "Susie, how difficult it has been for me to gain the courage to confess my unconditional love for you, but that stress no longer is present as you have done the task for me. It would be an honor to date you, my dear Susan. I accept this confession, and now I don't have to hesitate before expressing my deep love for you." With that being said, Susie pulled Peppa in towards her. They held hands and their lips got closer and closer and closer. How wonderful this could have been, how ecstatic that could have been, but some things get interrupted. Just as their passionate kiss was about to begin, a small, familiar figure stood in the doorway. It was George.
