Guess who's back??

Me. It's been an interesting month. I had a breakdown a few days ago because I haven't had the time to write in over a month. I've been stretched so thin recently, but I'm getting through it (yay).

Anyway, enjoy this chapter. The next coming ones are going to be fun to write.

Elena awoke slowly the next morning, slowly blinking out the sun that tickled her eyes. She let out a muted groan as she turned over, but her arm wacked into something as she moved- or rather someone.

"Ow!" Caroline snapped, her eyes shooting open as Elena gasped.

"What are you doing in my bed?"

"Well I was sleeping, but not anymore!" Caroline grumbled loudly, pouting as Bonnie slowly stirred next to her.

"Will you two shut up? It's too early."

"It's like 10:30 in the morning, guys," Elena said after glancing at her clock.

"Exactly, too early," Bonnie mumbled into her pillow.

"I'm not even going to ask why you guys are here."

"Stefan mentioned that you seemed really off when he dropped you off," Caroline said, yawning between her words. "He said that we should make sure you were okay, hence the impromptu sleepover."

"I'm fine," Elena said evenly, her tone betraying none of the turmoil she felt.

"Yeah right," Bonnie scoffed, sitting up and stretching her arms. "You can't lie to us."

"I'm not lying," Elena defended, narrowing her eyes at Bonnie, "really, I'm fine."

"Sure~" Caroline drawled, turning into Elena's side and resting her head on her best friend's stomach.

"You guys," Elena started before glancing down at Caroline, whose lips were trying to hide her smile, "thank you for this."

"You're welcome," Bonnie said, smiling as she got out of bed.

"Bonnie, come here!" Caroline moaned, lifting up her hand towards Bonnie, who just grinned and shook her head. "Please!"

"Come on guys, get up. It's 11 am and someone's phone has been going off for the past thirty minutes."

Another soft ding resounded through the air. The girls looked at one another before Elena let out a large sigh.

"That's mine. Can you hand it to me, Bonnie?"

"Sure. I plugged it in last night by the way."

"Thank you," Elena said as she took her phone.

She clicked it open and rolled her eyes when she saw seven messages from Stefan and twelve from Damon, all over the past 20 minutes.

"Who was it?" Caroline asked as she rolled over back onto her pillow, tugging the blankets up to her neck.

"Stefan and Damon," Elena sighed, her tone betraying a hint of mirth. "Damon was concerned about me getting home last night and how much beauty sleep I was getting. Half of Stefan's messages are cute and half are apologizing for Damon."

"Sounds about right," Bonnie yawned, digging through Elena's closet for the clothes she kept over. She pulled out two bags of clothes, one for her and the other for Caroline, which she tossed at the blonde's head.

"Ow!" Caroline snapped as the bag smacked her straight in the head. "What the hell Bonnie?"

"Oops," Bonnie snickered as Elena rolled out of bed and Caroline bolted upright.
