Chapter 1

Thump thump thump, is what Shax heard, it had been quite until now ... could it be an enemy? Or a fellow element devil ? Maybe even a villager from a near by town? No it was to fast for it to be a villager so what could it be? Well only one way to find out , right? Shax thought has his deep forest green and brown Ambery heterochromia eyes blink awake has he takes a wobbly stance looking around his home hidden under in the roots of an oak tree, everything in the room old fashioned or covered in a mixture of dust and dirt.

He runs a hand over one of the roots of the great oak before noticing a drip of water coming from the ceiling of damp soil , Shax watches has the drip lands in a small forming puddle has he notices his appearance in the reflection, messy and scraggly dirty blonde shoulder length hair to go with his green and brown eyes , pointy elf ears and deer like antlers matching with his fluffy heart shaped deer tail ( 💀🧍‍♂️before anyone says furry ,his deer like features show Shax's connection with nature and the powers he possesses for example Learje the sky devil will have some type of wings to symbolise that she's a creature of the sky )stuck out the top of his old fashioned cream colour trousers that had a couple scruff marks on them.Thats normal but what isn't is the newly formed small black marking of a diamond in the centre of his forehead.... Had his power have an increase while in his deep slumber? Shax tensed his shoulders and stomped outside irritated wanting to see who the hell was making such a racket that awoke him from his peaceful sleep he'll worry about the mark later.

When Shax stomped outside his little hideout he felt the soil and fallen leaves from the tall trees at his feet and almost immediately his tense shoulders relaxed,it was clearly early in the morning ,birds chirping and the sun shining bright though it was hard to get a good look at the glowing ball of light because of the thick forest he was surrounded in providing him shade.
He looked to his left and saw a colony of ants trailing be hide one another ,some holding small things like leaves or twigs. Shax smiled liking the fact that no matter what you put in their way they continue with there little journey and try to stay together practically succeeding every time.

Thump thump ,there it was the noise again but more clearly ,it sounded like .....a Trot of a horse more then one but it wasn't just horses was it ? Shax looked up before he swiftly jumped onto a high tree branch to get a better look ,the wind stronger at the height of the branch he was perched on ,his hair swaying with the wind . And there it was in his sight four horses all with a brown coat in a diamond like formation but they had humans with metal armour on , not like any armour sets he had seen before ,it wasn't like his magical armour set or like the armour the people in the nearby town wore.it was more shiny and advance but most importantly it had a red badge on the left side of the armour part that covered ones chest .Shax took a mental note of the badge and it's design.

Shax squinted his eyes narrowing before he jumped in front of the  small group ,catching both the people and horses by surprise has they come to a sudden stop , the people sitting on the horses backs bearing their swords and spheres at him.
Shax's face darkens and antlers glowing in a threatening and magical way has a green mist appears around Shax has he starts to speak in an annoyed and angered tone.
" who do you think you are? Coming into my territory , disturbing my creatures and awaking me from my slumber?"

Suddenly the person in the front of the group an older man who looks to be in his early forties or late thirties with visible greying hair covered by his metal helmet ,still on horse back ,rises his palm which was clearly an order for the other men to put away  their weapons away or to keep them at bay .The man then began to talk to the rest of his squad.
"It's him".
Shax's eyebrows furrowed in confusion at what the man said and got even more confused when the older looking man hopped of his horse and knelt to the ground,one knee on the floor while using the other to rest his arm on has he looks down at the ground, the other men looking at him with wariness glances but staying seated in their saddles.
Shax stared at the leader in confusion instead of anger this time has the leader started to speak in an apologetic but authoritative tone of voice.
"Dear child of the forest we are very sorry we disturbed your slumber and your land but we have important business to discuss. You see we have been sent to ask you for help"
The leader then looked up at Shax with a tired but hopeful expression while Shax stared down at them in confusion and disbelief.
What is this old man talking about? everything should be fine within Shax's nation ,so that means who ever sent the group just wants to use him for power after many of the humbletons have tried to use him.
Shax thought has he narrowed his eyes at the man.
And took a minute to think about the situation clearly.
