Taylor put her earring in her left ear before taking one last look at herself. She walked out of the room she and Joe shared and into the living room, looking for her purse. She wanted to switch bags before Travis got there. "Okay, can you explain this to me again?" Joe asked as she walked into the living room. His jealousy was showing, and something in Taylor didn't care. She didn't care about his feelings as of late, especially after their argument about Travis' involvement in Ian's life.
"Explain what?" Taylor questioned, spotting her purse.
"Why you are going out with him? I understand why Ian has to spend time with him, I don't get why you do to." Joe told her. He had been bringing this up for the last few hours leading up to Taylor getting ready and getting her clothes on.
"He wants to be in Ian's life, and we need to talk, come up with a schedule, and lay down some rules," Taylor explained, picking up her purse.
"Alone?" She rolled her eyes.
"Yes. Nothing gets done when Ian's around and you have to watch him because it's Riley's anniversary with her boyfriend, he doesn't stop crying for my parents, your parents don't take kids until they're five, and Liz has a date...finally, so that leaves you," Taylor went over again. She had told him all of this so many times she lost track.
"Okay, okay, but tell me why you have to look so good for him?" Taylor sighed and rolled her eyes again annoyed with Joe's excessive questioning. She had been going through this all week, since she and Travis made the plans.
"I've worn THIS dress for you THREE times, and you didn't find it slightly appealing any of those times, but now, since you think I'm wearing it for someone else, you think I look nice," she managed through her teeth, trying not to yell.
"I'm sorry..."
"You apologizing is getting really old," Taylor snapped, before signing again. "I'm going potty and spend a few moments with Ian, before Travis gets here. If you don't trust me, you can watch me piss to make your ego feel better," Taylor continued before walking out.
"Taylor, I didn't mean it like that. I do trust you," he called after her. He knew she didn't care at this moment. She had been sassing him for the better part of the day, and unless he wanted an argument to break out, he knew he needed to back off, and leave her alone. Joe made his way to the couch and sat down. The moment he did so, the doorbell rang. He huffed as he got up. Once he was at the door, he opened it with a less-than-pleased look. "Hey."
"Good evening," Travis replied, attempting to be cordial.
"Taylor isn't quite ready. You know how women are." They stood there in silence for a while before Travis walked into the house, realizing Joe wasn't going to invite him in.
"Where's Ian?" Travis asked, thinking about visiting his son as he waited for Taylor.
"Taylor is saying goodnight to him."
"I'll let them have their moment. Ian and I will be spending a lot more time together now anyway," Travis stated with his hands shoved into his pocket as he rocked back and forth on his heels, smirking. He knew it would get under Joe's skin. That's exactly what he wanted to do. Get under Joe's skin.
"Yeah..." Joe said before clearing his throat. That's why I think I should be part of this meeting since we're all going to be co-parenting."
