The sound of the timer echoed through the room.

"Times up! Put your paper in the cap," Hudson exclaimed, passing the cap around the circle.

Today marks the day where we choose a country to go to this summer. Hudson found a trend on tiktok where we put a name of a country on a piece of paper and put it in a bucket or something and whatever country we take out is the country we aren't going to. It will leave to one country left and that's where we would go.

All the crumpled up piece of papers have been collected. It's back to Hudson.

"I'll go first," he smiles and digs around the cap. He picks one up and slowly unfolds it.

"We aren't going to... Australia," He exclaims.

"Australia? Who would choose that," Finny looks around the circle to find the culprit.

"Dang it, that was mine," hudson hits the side of his thigh.

"Good! I don't want to know what kind of creatures Australia is hiding," ivy remarks.

"that's the fun of it! Not knowing what we'll see," hudson laughs as he passes the cap to the left of him. Walker holds up the cap, closing his eyes and digging through the small papers.

He unfolds a paper, "We aren't going to... Brazil!"

A bunch of groans were let out. That would've been so fun. I've always wanted to go to Brazil.

"that actually sucks," i sigh.

Walker passes the cap to Ivy who was on his left. Unlike the other two, she quickly picked a paper and unfold it without saying a thing. "We aren't going to Italy," she says out loud.

"aw damn. I wanted to try their pizza," brodie groans.

"You have pizza in front of you," teal says, pointing to the pile of pizza boxes on the table.

"i want the oui oui pizza," brodie tries to say in an accent.

Some bursted out laughing while some looked at him like he was stupid.

"that's french," teal pointed out.

I didn't notice teal already unfolding her paper.

"We aren't going to Greece," teal announces.

"oh.. i wrote that," i laugh.

"what a lame choice," finny stifled a laugh.

"well, what did you choose," ivy chimed in.

"italy," he crosses his arm and slouches into the couch.

"that's literally near each other," i tilt my head, scrunching up my face a bit.

"Uh.. anyways. i'll pick," i grab the cap and shuffle the paper around even if there wasn't that many. I pull out a crumpled paper and unfold it.

"We aren't going to... Ireland," i say slowly, confused by the answer. "Ireland?" I repeat myself. I'm judging a bit.

"who would choose ireland," walker laughs.

"me, duh," brodie rolls his eyes, "i want to see the leprechauns.

Teal sighs, "I'm not going to speak on that, but there is a bunch of castles there."

"i'll go," finny reaches for the cap and grabs a folded paper from it.

"we aren't going to belgium," he says.

"belgium would've been nice," ivy gushed at the idea.

"i chose that one," walker smirks proudly of himself.

"oh my gosh! So.. brodie you're the one who's telling us where we're going for our 2024 summer trip," hudson beamed.

Brodie twirls up from the couch and grabs the cap.

"Guys... we are going," he pulls the paper out and starts unfolding it, "to the Bahamas!"

"oh, for real," teal eyes sparkled with excitement as she grabbed onto ivy, shaking her a bit.

hudson smiles widely, "well, that's that! The Bahamas!"

"let me guess... that was teal's choice," finny raises an eyebrow. Teal nodded her head eagerly.

Walker smiles, "so when do we leave?"
