The commotion stirred up by the clash between Tae-pyung, Min-woo, and Woo-jin had become the hottest topic at school. With fingers pointing and whispers exchanged, the rumor mill soon turned its attention to Eon-jin, casting her as a central figure in all the drama.
Seated together on the rooftop, Min-jung couldn't contain her curiosity and turned to Eon-jin with a question. "Have you had a chance to catch up with Tae-pyung about what happened?"
Eon-jin sighed, recalling her recent text exchange with Tae-pyung, who seemed reluctant to delve into the details. "We messaged back and forth, but Tae-pyung didn't seem keen on discussing it. I didn't want to push him." she explained, feeling a tinge of frustration.
Min-jung frowned, concern evident on her face. "But doesn't Tae-pyung realize that his silence only fuels more speculation? People are starting to talk about you, too."
"But how can he explain himself when he's still suspended? I don't want to add to his stress. Let's keep him out of the loop for now." Eon-jin replied, her voice tinged with worry. Min-jung nodded in agreement, understanding the need to spare Tae-pyung any additional burden.
The three days of suspension passed swiftly, and today marked the return to school for Tae-pyung, Min-woo, and Woo-jin. Despite the lingering bruises on Tae-pyung's face, his demeanor showed noticeable improvement.
As Tae-pyung approached the school gate, his gaze fell on Eon-jin, who was waiting for him. A smile spread across his face at the sight of her.
Walking towards her, Tae-pyung felt a wave of longing surge within him, urging him to embrace her. Yet, the prying eyes of their classmates made him hesitate. Instead, he simply walked past her, much to Eon-jin's surprise.
Moments later, Tae-pyung's phone buzzed with a message from Eon-jin.
Eon-jin: Are you avoiding me?
Tae-pyung: No, it's just that we're in front of the school, and there are so many people watching. I really want to hug you right now. I miss you so much.
Eon-jin: I thought you were mad at me too. Okay, let's go out after class. I miss you too.Meanwhile, reactions among their classmates varied as they noticed Tae-pyung's return. Some expressed surprise, while others showed genuine concern.
Ji-nah approached Tae-pyung, her voice filled with worry. "Tae-pyung, are you okay? I had no idea this happened to you."
From her seat, Eon-jin observed their interaction, noting Tae-pyung's subdued response.
"Come on, don't be so obvious about your jealousy," Min-jung teased playfully.
"Why would I be jealous?" Eon-jin retorted quickly, avoiding Min-jung's gaze.
"Because you've got a handsome boyfriend, and it's tough to keep the admirers at bay." Min-jung whispered mischievously, earning a fake smile from Eon-jin in response.
Their banter was interrupted by the arrival of their teacher. Noticing the return of the three students, the teacher gave a few reminders before announcing that exam results would be released the following week.

Later that day, Tae-pyung headed to the park and chose a quiet spot away from the bustling crowds to wait for Eon-jin.
After a while, Tae-pyung sensed Eon-jin's presence behind him. She covered his eyes with her hands and planted a quick kiss on his cheek—a tender gesture that filled him with warmth and affection.
"Sorry for taking so long." Eon-jin apologized as she settled beside him.
"No worries. I didn't wait long." Tae-pyung reassured her with a smile.
