The usually loud and vibrant camp had began to die down once the moon had made its presence known to the delinquents. At the first sight of darkness, many of them had retreated back into their tents to turn in for some much needed sleep.

The only person who was still awake in the now deathly silent camp was Campbell Cullen. He was currently sitting by himself on a fallen log at the edge of their camp, a hand-made spear clutched in his hands. He had volunteered to take first watch for the night to ensure that everyone was safe.

As soon as the delinquents had landed on the ground, they decided to implement a watch group to stand at the edge of their camp to lookout for anything that seemed suspicious. They had heard about all of the dangerous things that lived among and they wanted to prevent as many accidents or deaths as possible. This was their way of keeping everyone safe, even when they all went to bed.

Campbell stayed completely silent, preferring to survey the area for the hundredth time for any suspicious activity. The task proved to be stagnant as nothing ever really happened. In the few weeks, they've been living on the ground, they've never experienced anyone or anything invading their camp but they still were cautious, just in case.

The deathly silence of the camp became interrupted by the echoing of footsteps. The boy quickly turned towards the direction of the sound, tightly clutching his spear, ready to attack if need be. He slowly stalled towards the shadow that was advancing towards him. He held up his weapon, ready to swing when he was interrupted by a shriek of fear.

"Woah, it's just me!" Sebastian made his presence known, raising his hands in surrender.

Campbell let out a sigh of relief, instantly lowering his spear. "Don't sneak up on me like that."

"Sorry, didn't really think that one through." Sebastian let out an awkward chuckle.

"What are you even doing out here?" Campbell asked in confusion as it was very unlikely to see the boy this late at night. He was usually the one who was put on the very first morning shift.

"I couldn't sleep." Sebastian confirmed. "And decided why not use that to my advantage and take over watch for you."

Campbell instantly shook his head. "Nah, you don't have to do that for me. I'm good to be out here for another hour or two."
