Chapter 3-The explanation

Loic began his explanation,

"I....erm....well...I just broke up with my girlfriend."

I put my hand on his shoulder in an attempt to comfort him and he continued,

"Well I say 'broke up', I didn't say it to her face or infact say it at all........I left a note, packed my stuff and just left. As soon as I shut the front door I realised I had nowhere to go. I looked in the window and saw you were awake..."

"I am so sorry about your girlfriend...are you OK?"

I was experiencing so many emotions. I felt sorry for him, I felt excited because he was single!, I felt nervous because I still didn't know who he was. I was so confused about how I should feel.

Loic replied,

"Yes, I am fine. We just grew apart....."

Loic looked deep into my eyes and apologized for turning up at my window at this time in the morning and he thanked me for letting him in and giving him dry clothes. He leaned in to me and kissed me on the cheek. I felt butterfies in my stomach and he said,

"Has anyone ever told you that you have beautiful eyes?"

I blushed and replied,

"Have you ever looked in the mirror? You have amazing eyes!"

Loic giggled and we stared into each others eyes. I had never felt so happy or comfortable around a boy before. I am very shy and I never talk to people I don't know. But Loic is different, I feel like I have known him forever. I am just so comfortable around him and even the silence isn't awkward.

He moved his head closer and closer until our noses touched, he put his hands on my waist and then our lips touched. It was magical.

Is it OK that I am in love with a boy I have just met?
