PROLOGUE

Since the beginning of time women of mafia clans were used as a pawn in the chess game of powers, their value enhances once they are tied into a rope of bloody marriage.

When Bianca Moretti, daughter of Italian mafia consigliere was sets to marry Dimitri Ivanov, Pakhan of Russian bratva no one in la familia was happy as for them Russians are crazy breed of cunning foxes.

Tales of them slaughtering the whole army of Mexicans in a mafia war was infamous. None family ever wants to form any kind of alliance with them.

But she was given as a mere collateral between Sicilians and bratvas to stop the ongoing war, a proposal of current Boss of Sicilians.

Things were going good between the two supreme power in mafia world untill Bianca Moretti was exposed to be not just collateral but a part of secret mission.

Her hands were tied, breathing helplessly she pleas for the mercy, from her husband, from the love of her life. And for the first time in their life bratva men witness the hesitation in the eyes of their Pakhan.

It was considered an act of cowardice, a sign of weakness, a reason of distrust in soldiers but Dimitri could care less about them. His bloodshot eyes watch the woman on ground, blood dripping from her lips, eyes red due to continuous crying and pleading. She wasn't ready to die.

The pointed gun on her head dropped immediately as Dimitri give in to his desire and kneels before her. His palm caress her wet cheeks, disheveled hairs as he breath in her bloodied smell.

Bratvas see the whole scene silently. Dimitri's heart skip a beat feeling her body collapsing out of consciousness. He growled holding her while walking past by the soldiers clearing their protest to left her to dead, but his one glared tapped everyone's mouths.

"Ivanova is pregnant, Pakhan." An intense surge of happiness spread in the cold body of the leader once the news reaches his ears. She was forgiven by every member of family but they haven't forgotten the betrayal of Italians.

With a silent vows of destroying them, everyone welcomed their Pakhan's child. Dimitri was once the most beloved Pakhan for the Russians untill his involvement with Italians raised concern.

Neglecting his duty of expansion of territory because the distraction Bianca brought to him, dig an unsettled grudge inside their heart against him.

They wants to replace Dimitri and it says that whoever killed the Pakhan will be rightfully take his position in case of absence of heir.

Dimitri controls four criminal cells and all four was led by Brigadier Igor, Brigadier Maxim, Brigadier Lev, Brigadier Alexi.

Igor reported to his bestfriend Dmitri about potential coup that slowly rising on command of other brigadiers.

Pakhan was sharp minded it didn't take him long to understand that he might be assassinate soon, and his concern lies with his childrens, his heir. So he took a chance of dispatching confidential message to consigliere of Italians in a hope of sending his family safely away from Moscow.

"Mama! why are they shouting at papa." a ten years old boy tugs the hem of his mother's dress. She was eavesdropping on conversation between her father and husband.

A cooeing voice distracted the little boy's attention and he smiled looking at the baby in his mother's arm.

"Mama, when will we be going outside." He again asks, frustrated by the cage like corridor where they are hiding.
