Pete didn’t know what he expected to see when his assistant announced the arrival of Reveal…

He expected a flail old man, someone who looked like he could sell his son to Tony, someone the time hadn’t been kind to in exchange of what he did.

He found a different man, someone who looked remarkably like Babe, even exuding the same aura around him, someone you wouldn’t think of as evil… or greedy…

“Khun Pete? Khun Alan?”, The man asked calmly and Pete recoiled… He looked - and sounded - like Babe, only slightly older.

“Yes… Khun… Khun Reveal… This is Khun Pete, He is… the main partner in our garage, and one of us…”, Alan introduced Pete and he was more than glad that he didn’t use words like sponsor, but rather a partner… He even said that he was one of them… Whatever that meant, it was more than Pete had already hoped for - after everything.

Reveal shook Pete’s hand first, and Pete let his powers roam freely, scanning his memories and his thoughts.

By the time Reveal withdrew his hand, Pete had a solid idea of who the man was and what he was like.

He turned to Alan and nodded…

“I am Alan… I believe Jeff had told you about me already…”

“Nong Jeff’s Alpha… and My son’s… My Son’s role model… you are the one who made him a racer…”

Alan shook Reveal’s hand… It was tense and Pete could tell that Alan wanted to bite the man’s head off, He put a hand on Alan’a forearm and shook his head.

“Nong Jeff told me you wanted to meet me… I… I expected as much… Just tell me how is Babe doing?”

Alan swallowed hard…

“He is doing better, He is awake now, but he still has a long way ahead of him… I wanted to meet you because for starters I don’t understand how you came to help Charlie and Jeff… and I don’t understand how Babe ended up with Tony if you are alive… needless to say he thinks you are dead…”

Reveal nodded…

“I never intended for him to know anything different from that, I can assure you… even when Jeff tracked me down for my help, I didn’t intend to tell them that I am Babe’s father…”

Alan raised his eyebrows…

“Why? Don’t you want to be reunited with your son?”

“More than anything in the world, but I… I cannot justify what I had done, what I was led to do… I cannot ask for his forgiveness… I cannot ask that of him, especially after all that had happened…”

Alan looked at Pete, and Pete decided it would be better if he was the one steering the conversation further…

“How did Babe end up in Tony’s custody?”, Pete asked it as a trap question, he already knew the truth, he saw the truth in Reveal’s mind…

“I… I was forced to go bankrupt… My Wife left me and Babe alone, Our house was taken away and we lived on the streets, Babe… He had fallen sick and I had to take him to the hospital, I… I couldn’t pay for his medicine, I couldn’t do anything, but watch as he went from bad to even worse in hours… Tony came… he paid everything… Babe was receiving the best medical care the money could buy…”

Pete nodded, the man was speaking his truths… He turned to Alan and nodded to him…

“Tony… He made me sign debt documents… only for them to turn out that I turned Babe’s custody to the Chen foundation, he… he made it clear that my son thought I was dead, that he knew nothing of me anymore, that he would be able to give him everything I wouldn’t be able to provide, that it would be better for me to leave and never come back…”
