Id Ego Superego
Sigmund Freud's concept about the human mind never fails to amaze me. His theory of personality was one of a kind but one thing I did not like is the fact that all these three (id, ego, superego) are connected. I refuse to accept that these three work dependently.
There is no superego. Only an id that speaks my desire and an ego that makes it happen. There is no such thing as superego who controls the id's impulses and command the ego to follow what is morally and ethically right and just. It's no fun to follow superego's ways! I can just desire for pleasure as long as id is the dominant no one can control.
Dear diary,
For the first time, I accidentally killed a dog who was about to bite me. He barked loudly before rushing towards me but to my instinct, I found a way to make him behave. I pound his head with a hammer several times until he bled. Not my fault. It's my Id that was acting.
