Caroline walks down the hallway seeing Grace at her locker, she walks up to her and wraps her arm around her shoulder pressing her lips to the side of her head

Caroline: Elena's gonna be okay. Stefan and Damon are on it. Stop worrying, Pudding.

Grace: I can't help but worry, Care.

Caroline sighs turning her around to face her and cups her face in her hands, rubbing her thumbs across her cheeks

Caroline: Everything is going to be just fine.

She presses her lips to her forehead

Caroline: I promise.

Grace: I love you

Caroline: I love you more, my love.

HOUSE

Elijah Mikaelson opens the door.

Elijah: Rose-Marie. Is there somewhere we can talk?

Rose: Yes, in here. You have to forgive the house.

Elijah: Oh, no, what's a little dirt? I completely understand. So tell me, what is it that gives you the courage to call me?

Rose: I wanted my freedom. I'm tired of running. You in a position to grant me that?

Elijah: I have complete authority to grant pardon to you and your little pet. What is his name these days? Trevor. If I so see fit.

Rose: Katerina Petrova?

Elijah: I'm listening.

Rose: She and Corrine didn't burn in the church in 1864.

Elijah: Continue.

Rose: They survived.

Elijah: Where are they?

Rose: You don't seem surprised by this.

Elijah: Oh, when you called and invited me into this armpit of civilization, which is a mere three hours from the town we know as Mystic Falls, I surmised it had everything to do with Katerina and Corrine. Do you have them in your possession?

Rose: No, but I have better. I have Katherine's doppelgänger.

Elijah: That's impossible, her family line ended with her. I know that for fact.

Rose: The facts are wrong.

Elijah: Well, show her to me.

Rose: Elijah, you are a man of honor, you should be trusted but I want to hear you say it again.

Elijah: You have my word that I will pardon you. Also do you have the soulmate?

Rose: No, we couldn't get to her.

Elijah: Shame. She would have been most thrilled.

They arrive at the main room. Elena hears them. She's scared and turns her head. Elijah looks at her. He's surprised and rushes over to her. He looks at her and smells her neck.

Elijah: Human. It's impossible. Hello there.

GILBERT HOUSE-NIGHT

Grace is sitting on the edge of Elena's bed staring down at a picture of her and Elena. Grace is kissing her on the cheek, both smiling into the camera.

Knock knock

Grace looks up seeing Elena standing in the doorway before entering the room, Grace smiles running and leaping into her arms. Elena spins her around placing her back down and brushes her hair out of her face.

Grace: Are you okay?

Elena: I'm okay. I'm okay.

Grace cries and embraces her again, wrapping her arms around her waist while Elena wraps her arms around her, pressing her lips to the side of her head.
