ARABELLA SALVATORE SHIVERED ONCE SHE FELT HER MOTHER'S COLD HANDS AWAKE HER FROM HER DEEP DREAM.

"Ara, please wake up, you know you can't be late on your first day of school." Megara spoke up, bringing the seven-year-old girl back to that earth.

"Mom, my school ceremony starts at 10 am and I must be there on time..." Isabella's voice made Ara turn to the doorframe as her sister entered. "Mrs. Bull does not like non-punctual students."

I know, Mrs. Bull... many think that's just a silly nickname students gave their least favorite teacher out of spite, but it was not the case, that was her actual name, and, from what I've seen, it's also the perfect description for Isa's teacher. I first saw her at the age of five, exactly a year ago, when my sister got into the fifth grade and she met her new, monstrous professor, and, unfortunately, I had to be there, too.

At first, I thought I was standing in front of a huge black wall, but my assumption went away once she turned around and I was facing a middle-aged wrinkled woman with an immense appetite (I assume of sweets, but from her looks, she seems like she could eat anything). All I can hope is that I would not end up having her as my teacher when I start middle school, or I would have to start eating at home before going to school.

And then there was her aggressive and obsessive attitude (just like a bull...). If you make one little mistake and she notices, God bless, cause you won't get any peace from her all your years in that school. I guess that explains Isa's nervousness...

"Well, we'll leave your sister at her school at eight and then take you to school in time. Don't worry, dear, Richard's taking us."

Uhh, Richard... He is the man my mom found fit to include in our family, and not only him. Apparently, he also comes with his sister, Jessica, and her son, Regulus. I'm sure that woman only stays close to her brother because of his status as chief policeman, but my mom suggested I just say that their family comes as a package cause they really care about each other, so I would avoid upsetting that devilish woman and her annoying son.

"Yeah, if Ara gets out of bed in time..." Isa mumbled loud enough for the redhead to hear.

"Relax, Miss Perfect, I won't let you become Mrs. Bully's target for the next three years."

"You better, 'cause if she targets me now, be certain she'll do the same to you. She already asked why you're not going to the same school as me. Trust me, you'd never be late if you were her student." Isabella pointed out, mainly to annoy her sister back, even if she spoke the truth.

Before Ara could fight back, Megara caught the girls' attention by shouting from the kitchen, "Isa, leave your sister alone. And, Ara, you have five minutes to get dressed and come into the kitchen to eat your breakfast."

So that's what they did. In a few minutes, Ara walked to the table to see the whole family there.

"Ahh, there's our youngest schoolgirl, come and take some pancakes." Richard spoke with a warm smile, moving his chair so she could have more space to sit down.

But Ara wasn't gonna sit there, mainly because that was the demon's seat. Jessica was fetching her son some pancakes, probably because he wasn't too evolved to be allowed near the hot pan. So the redhead went to the other side of the table, next to her sister.
