Can we keep her? Please?

The night after Ember met Aizawa she was listening to one of Present Mic's pre-recorded radio broadcasts. Dabi had asked her to go dark and not listen in tonight so her coms had turned into fancy earbuds as she finished her last bit of middle school coursework. As a break from the monotony, she occasionally starts analyzing hero fights. They left home early today since apparently, Dabi has a meeting with someone meaning that there aren't many people yet. Hestia had even given her free reign of the comfortable seating area to set up in.

Eraserhead walks in with a blonde man in civilian clothing though Ember guesses it's most likely an off-duty hero not worth much note as she turns back to the recording she's watching. This recording has her scowling as she ticks off property damage and civilian injuries. It's one of her dad's more recent fights and it's insane just how much destruction he's causing considering the villain he's fighting was just a petty thief with an annoying quirk. She sighs turning the video off and reaching for her connection to Shoto but feeling that same numb void she had last time nothing changed except now she can't feel anything from him and the silence is deafening.

Aizawa walks up to the bar with Hizashi in tow and Hestia grins at them pulling out a smoothie for Hizashi before starting Aizawa's usual.

"Well isn't this a pleasant surprise, two nights in a row! Plus you brought him along you must want something Eraser." Aizawa takes a moment before speaking so he won't show too much emotion.

"He insisted on coming along tonight I've got a few more-" Hestia makes a shushing motion leaning in conspiratorially and whispering.

"Corner booth Eraser, try getting answers from the source and not secondhand." Aizawa looks to where his attention had been directed and sees Ember scowling at her laptop he nudges Hizashi who glances over and sees her sitting at the booth, they walk over trying not to startle her. Ember spots them walking towards her and glances over smiling genially.

"Hello Eraser, how are you? Aren't you a bit early for patrol?" The kid seems nervous and he can't tell if it's from him, Zashi, or something that they can't see luckily he gets his answer in the form of thinly veiled anxiety laced in her voice and a request that he hadn't expected.

"Actually if you have some time I'd love it if you sat for a bit, I don't particularly care for being alone." Aizawa and Hizashi slide into the booth looking at Ember's fingers as she fidgets.

"While I'm happy to sit I seem to recall you being quite happy alone yesterday." Ember's eyes widen a little and she shakes her head pulling back her hair to reveal the devices hooked over her ears.

"I could hear Dabi the entire time and vice-versa, he asked me not to listen in tonight though." Hizashi looks at the devices, they resemble his hearing aids with several key aspects, is Ember hard of hearing? He files that away in something to ask later.

"The lead you gave me last night was solid, you could have charged quite a bit more it feels a bit like I'm cheating you." Ember shakes her head and goes back to sketching while Aizawa can't see it from where he's seated Hizashi can.

"Hey, is that a cat? It's really good." Ember nods a bit before glancing up, upon closer inspection it looks similar to one of their cats.

"Th-thanks I uh..." Ember shifts a little pressing stop on her computer. Looking at the man he seems familiar though she can't quite put a finger on it, she's seen him before the problem is figuring out where and when.

"I was uh listening to something and drawing what I heard it's a nice distraction." Ember realizes that she had spoken softly letting a bit of her childishness  bleed through." Hizashi is glad to hear the tiniest sliver of a kid behind the facade.
