Just a little quirky (so sorry for the pun;-;)

There's a knock on the hospital room door, most likely the quirk doctor. Hizashi gently squeezes Astra's hand reassuringly before letting the doctor in, her heart thuds loudly, no, she can't do this... she can't get burned again because she has a bad quirk she can't lose it all... Her breathing speeds up, out, she needs to get away from this place this IV needs to be out of her arm. Her hearing goes static with each step of the doctor thundering out so much pain. Just as the world starts to spin a pair of paws and a pair of hands softly rest on her stomach and back bringing her back from the spiral and bringing the world back into focus.

"Breathe kid, just breathe, that's it in for 5 seconds hold for 5 seconds, and out for 5 seconds. There we go... Are you still with us? We can tell him to go away and come back later if you can't handle this right now." Aizawas voice is calm and soothing, it brings her mind down from the intense panic she had been in. She shakes her head firmly at the offer to send the doctor away, if they send him away now they will have to do this later, and later one of her Dads would probably be at work.

"Waiting would make it worse I wanna get this over with. But can I watch him do the tests on Papa first? I'm scared..." Astra bunches up the blanket and hugs it a little closer, Aizawa makes a note to grab one of her plushies from home since he knows that she will be staying overnight for monitoring if nothing else. They had already promised that she could watch so she knew exactly what would happen first so he's a bit surprised she is asking again but quickly chalks it up to her just being exhausted and stressed she's more level-headed than most seven years olds would be if they got severe hypothermia in the middle of the night, well scratch that most seven-year-olds don't get hypothermia in the middle of the night when the house is set to 73 degrees Fahrenheit.

"Of course lil listener, I haven't gotten my quirk tested since I had a quirk awakening a year ago anyways so I needed it anyway lil listener!" Hizashi is still in his hero persona but Shota lets it be since it's clear that if he weren't he would be breaking down which is not what their kid needs their kid needs them to be strong and brave so she can feel safe and learn about her quirk so they know how to protect her. But bless his heart for making Astra feel like she wasn't disrupting anything Shota hadn't even noticed how fidgety and almost ashamed the kid looked until it had stopped, of course, she felt like she was being a burden, she was probably also beating herself up for being scared of something that she knew logically was simple. The doctor doesn't comment just moving over by Hizashi though they seem to have picked up on Astra's uneasiness as they narrate the process.

"Okay first I need to draw a bit of blood, it is the most reliable method of finding genetic markers for quirks. Next, I need to run through an average check of vitals as well as things like your eye's response to light as that is the main indicator for more subtle mutation quirks." Astra watches intently nerves seemingly forgotten as she studies what the doctor is doing, this is a more comprehensive form of a quirk exam than what is given when a kid is young, normally it's reserved for loss of quirk control or when a quirk goes through some form of evolution. She scoots a bit closer to watch as the doctor tests Hizashi's reflexes giggling a bit at the silly faces Hizashi is making.

"Alright so now we just put the blood in an analyzer and the results will be back in 15 minutes! While we wait I like to talk to my patients and get a sense of what they know their quirk can do along with what they think it can do. So Mr Yamada, what would you say the notable parts of your quirk that you are aware of are? Any drawbacks you've experienced?" Hizashi pauses for a moment in pretend concentration.

"Well if I use it too much I burst my eardrums, I have to have hearing aids because of when I was a baby, otherwise I know that I can make my voice inhumanly loud, project, and throw it really easily..." Hizashi is about to continue when he feels a tug on his sleeve he doesn't even need to look to know that it's Astra, he motions for her to go ahead since this is entirely for her comfort anyway.
