Christmas and New Year's Eve turned out to be awesome. It felt so good to watch Mom smile.

By the end of our family visit, my father quietly accepted my own choices as well. Enough was enough at this point.

When I came back to Prince's hotel room in January, there was a note taped on the door:

My Darling Nikki, 

Welcome home! 🌷

My heart missed U SO much! 😩

Let me take care of us again, 💕

Ur man, 💋

I found him shirtless after leaving the shower. He didn't wear makeup for once and this scarf looped around his head.

"Am I interrupting?" I asked, catching his reflection in the bedroom mirror.

"Hey." When Prince turned around and looked at me, he smiled downward.

"Told you I'd come back." I welcomed his embrace, kissing him.

"I missed you." Prince still whispered to me and offered sweet nothings.

We didn't take our clothes off right away, but Prince wouldn't stop looking at me.

"You're so beautiful." This man caressed my face and shadowed his body over mine.

"Thank you." I accepted his compliments every time.

"Thought about you all the time." His low voice still melted each nerve.

"Really?" I whispered.

"Yes." Prince aimed to kiss me once more and I fell asleep dreaming beside him.

Minneapolis. Cincinnati. Cherry Hill. New York. Boston.

After jamming through his second leg of concerts nationwide, Prince closed that self-titled album run.

I also found out that he would open for Rick James himself during the "Fire It Up" tour.

Located West of Minneapolis, Prince locked down this home on North Arm Drive in Orono.

Television didn't even matter and Prince fell asleep by some miracle, but I woke up alone regardless.

I stood by myself often because Prince worked like crazy with his band. There was no other choice at the time.

That night, he stood naked in the bedroom doorway.

We made love in the shower once more and soon, this man never let me out of his sight.

Everyone would start touring and perform in Fort Worth, Texas at the Tarrant County Convention Center.

Slotting just a few tracks on the setlist, Prince only gained forty-five minutes to impress new crowds.

The band grooved incredibly together once I settled with my chair and grinned between songs.
