The Forced Partnership

Andre sat at the lunch table alone as Beck and Jade later joined him. Beck said, "Where's Tori and Robbie?" Andre said, "Tori went to talk to Julien to see if she can get out of doing that special assignment and Robbie went to change his pants,"   

Beck said, "What special assignment?" Jade said "and why is Robbie changing his pants?" Andre said, "Well Sinjin confessed to Julien that he muted Ryder's mike on our behalf in the Full Moon Jam and Julien decided to force Tori and Ryder to do a duet together tomorrow at class or both get an F on the Full Moon Jam assignment. Also, Ryder indirectly threatened Robbie and well, I think we all know why he changed his pants," 

Beck said, "Why would he pair Tori with that jerk again?" Andre said, "Because he is punishing Tori for not getting him the heads up on doing a solo in the performance and leaving Ryder in the dark," Beck said, "He deserved it," Andre said, "Are you going to tell him that?" Beck said, "Maybe I will, I'll be back," and Beck leaves. 

Jade said, "You had to make him leave, didn't you?" Andre said, "You could join him while he talks with Julien on Tori's behalf," Jade said, "He won't be gone long and I'm hungry," Robbie with Rex in hand comes to the table. Robbie said, "Hey guys," Rex said, "What happened while Robbie was getting his pants changed again?" Robbie said, "I only changed them once today,"

Rex said, "Aren't you forgetting this morning?" Robbie said, "That was before school so that doesn't count," Rex said, "It counts for me," Jade said, "Why did you change your pants, again?" Robbie said, "Because Ryder threatened to beat me up," Rex corrected him saying, "He implied he was going to beat you up. It's a big difference. Shouldn't have blocked the guy's exit," Robbie said, "You're taking Ryder's side?" Rex said, "Of course not, you should have let Beck block Ryder alone,"

Tori came to the table and threw her bag on the seat visibly upset and knocked her bag on the ground in the delight of Jade who said, "Let me guess, you're stuck with Ryder for the assignment, Aren't you?" Tori said, "Yes, so it's either I get an F or sing with Ryder tomorrow. Julien isn't budging. I'm guessing you're happy, Jade," Jade said, "A little bit but when it comes to Ryder, I am sympathetic to you or any other ladies he screwed over. Where's Beck?" 

Beck came in dejected failing to get Julien to change his mind, he said, "Sorry Tori," Tori said, "It's not your fault, I should have told Julien about Ryder and seen about doing a solo. Now I have to decide if it's worth it more just to get an F and go to summer school or perform with the biggest douchebag of the school to pass," Beck said, "Is there a way to get Extra Credit?" Andre said, "Julien doesn't do extra credit," 

Tori said, "Guessing it's Summer School it is," Andre said, "Do you really want to wreck your summer over a jerk not to mention if you fail, so will that jerk and you'll be struck with the jerk for summer school," 

Tori said, "Didn't think of that," Beck said, "Plus we don't want to spend summer without you," Jade said, "You need Tori to have a good time?" Beck said, "Do you want her to spend time in summer school with Ryder?" Jade thought about it and said, "Not really, no woman should have to deal with that," Tori said, "That's the nicest thing you said about me," Jade said, "I still don't like you but I hate Ryder more," Robbie said, "So what are you going to do, Tori?" 

Tori conflicted said, "I don't know, I don't want to help him get a passing grade but I don't want to fail either,"  Beck said, "Look at it this way, he's a senior. If you help him pass, he's gone in a few months," Tori said, "That's true as well,"   Robbie said, "What are you going to do?" Tori said, "Looks like I'm doing the duet with Ryder," Andre said, "Speaking of which when are you going to meet with Ryder?" Tori said, "After school in the classroom, you're joining us remember?" Andre said, "Now I do," They finished their lunch and headed to class. 

After School, Andre and Tori go to the classroom to meet with Ryder who was there with another student with him. Ryder said, "Honestly I thought you guys would have stood me up and left me alone with Jay over here," Tori said, "As much as I don't want to be here with you," Andre said, "It's we as in we don't want to be here with you and Brian over there," Jay said, "It's Jay but it's hard to stop people calling Brian because of those movies and having the last name O'Connor even though I spell it with an O," Tori said, "Anyway, as much as WE don't want to be here. WE rather deal with you here than in summer school," Ryder said, "Agreed, I'm waiting on my letter to USC, I need this to graduate," Andre said, "Actually, I passed the Full Moon Jam assignment so I don't have to worry about Summer School," Tori gave him a mean look and Andre said, "I should shut up,"

Tori Added, "Also Jay, at least they're not calling you Sinead," Jay said, "True," Tori said, "Not to be mean Jay but why are you here?" Jay said, "Because Sinjin was doing something else or didn't want to deal with Ryder again at least for the rest of the day, so I'm here," Ryder said, "Plus he was the guy on the soundboard who kept my mike muted," Jay said, "Don't be a jerk, Ryder, especially to the tech guys. We hold grudges. Not as much as Jade but we do work the controls," 

Tori said, "OK can we start picking a song and rehearse it, the sooner we start the sooner we're done,"  Ryder said, "Fine by me," Jay said "No wonder why they wanted us to be here," Andre said, "For witnesses?" Jay said "Pretty much,"  

After nearly an hour of picking and rehearsal songs, they couldn't find the right song and Tori and Ryder got frustrated as well as Andre and Jay and Tori said to Jay and Andre, "Any Suggestions guys?" Jay said, "I got one, How about "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around" By Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers?" Ryder said, "Actually that's a good one, Don't you think Tori?" Tori asked, "What is it?" Andre said, "I'm not familiar with that one either,"

Jay plays in the music video on a laptop and Tori likes it and agrees to sing the song. They practiced the song for 2-3 hours and then rehearsal was over as the four of them were tried and wanted to go home. Jay said, "Are you guys good?" Do you want to practice some more or are you guys good?" Tori said, "I think we're good, Don't you think Ryder?" Ryder said, "I think we're as long as my mike is working," while looking at Jay.  Jay said, "Don't Worry Julien will be behind us at the Blackbox Theater," Tori said, "Wait, What?" Jay said, "He didn't tell you," Ryder said, "Tell us what?" Julien walked in and said, "That class tomorrow will take place at the Blackbox Theater for your assignment. How's the rehearsal going?" Ryder said, "Good I think we're done for the night," Julien said, "Good, Andre does the band know?" Andre said, "Yeah, they know the song and we'll do a quick rehearsal tomorrow before school,"  Julien said, "Good to know, see you guys tomorrow," 

They left as Tori and Andre left together taking Jay with them and Ryder left alone.
