Chapter 1

(This starts after the Nadakahn season
but before Day Of The Departed)

With Kai:

"This is stupid, why do I feel this way?!" Kai rants to himself.

"I shouldn't like them, I have a girlfriend for crying out loud! It's not like any of them would ever like me back anyways, especially him. He's dating my sister for crying out loud! Ugh, Stupid!" Kai thinks aloud, feeling ice cold tears rolling down his puffy red cheeks.

"Why does it have to be like this? Zane would never like me back, He's a fucking nindroid for fucks sake. Cole obviously likes Jay and I'm clearly not Jay." He continues ranting, he uses his fire to burn his lower right leg, wincing at the pain.

"Oh yeah, and Zane's taken too, not just Jay." He pauses for a brief moment, remembering something before continuing.

"I know I have a girlfriend too, and I thought I loved her but I just can't stop thinking about them! Ugh, I wish I could stop thinking about them and just think about my girlfriend, who I am supposed to love. Cause she's my girlfriend." Kai groans loudly, laying down on his bed and pressing his hands into his eyes, pulling at his hair.

"And there's no way in hell Cole would ever like me back, he likes Jay too so even if Jay and Nya do ever break up I'd probably just watch them get together, and not even say anything about it. They're good for eachother, I can't even love my own girlfriend, I'm good for no one." Kai sighed, he put his head into his pillow and cried for about an hour before passing out from exhaustion.

Meanwhile:

Cole prepares a tray full of snacks for himself in the kitchen and overhears what sounds like arguing, he can't make out what's being said though.

It sounded like Nya but Cole had to make sure, so he set down his tray on the counter, walking over to the living room and disappearing.

"I- I just wanted to- I- I didn't kn- know! I'm s-" Jay responded, putting his arms in the air in surrender.

"AND YOU HARDLY PAY ANY ATTENTION TO ME! WHEN YOU'RE HOME YOU'RE ALWAYS EITHER IN YOUR ROOM OR PLAYING STUPID VIDEO GAMES! YOU NEVER COME SEE ME!" Nya yelled at an obviously nervous looking Jay.

"N- Nya I try, but y- you're al- always b- busy when I try, I'm sor-" Nya slapped his face hard enough that it had left a mark, then she turned and walked out of the room.

Cole gasped in shock.

Jay sat in shock for a few minutes before Cole made himself known by appearing out of thin air, walking over and rubbing Jay's back.

"Why is nothing I do ever good enough for her?" Jay sighed, tears threatening to fall from his eyes

"Is anything I do ever even good enough for anyone? I feel like it's pointless, I can never do anything right. I'm so done with everything." He says, making Cole pretty concerned for his best friends mental health.

Cole hugs him as he cries, they stay like that for a good few minutes before Cole suggests "Hey, you wanna watch a movie to cheer you up, Sparky? You can pick one while I go grab some snacks and I'll get you an ice pack too." he smiles as he waits for a response.

Jay gives a single nod along with a small smile, Cole feels his face heat up at this but ignores it as he goes and grabs the snack tray along with an ice pack for Jay.

"Heh, the space pirate movie? I knew you'd pick something dorky like that Sparky." Cole chuckled as he handed Jay the ice pack and set the tray in between them on the couch.

Jay rolled his eyes "Yeah, yeah, whatever, Boulder brains." earning an eye roll back at him from Cole.

About halfway into the movie Kai walked in yawning and pointed to Cole "Could ya make some room? I wanna watch, thanks." he asked sitting in between him and the arm rest and falling back to sleep on the arm rest soon after.

As the movie continued on Kai had shifted around so that he was laying on top of Cole and his hand was holding onto Jay's shirt, Jay looked incredibly flustered, as did Cole but it was hard to tell with him glowing green and all.

A little while after the movie ended and they were just sitting there awkwardly, someone had knocked on the door.

"I'll get it!" Jay said cheerfully but when he tried to get up, Kai, in his sleep just grabbed his shirt tighter and pulled him back down onto the couch, making a small sound.

"Or I guess not." Jay chuckled in a slightly nervous way, his cheeks a bit red.

Cole laughed at Jay's attempt of getting up

"Do you not remember last sleepover in the living room?" he asked before continuing.

"He's really cuddly when he's asleep, aggressively cuddly. We're stuck here until he wakes up." Cole stated, continuing to laugh.

"Allow me." Zane stated, walking out of the kitchen with a smile on his face.

"Ah, hello, Skylor." He says as he opens the door. "Please, come in, Kai is asleep right now though."

"That's alright, I'm not here for him, I've got something to talk about with Nya." She smiled and Zane noticed she was very well dressed as she quickly headed to Nya's room.

"That was strange." He thought aloud to himself.

"What was strange about it Zane?" Cole asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Only her attire, she is wearing the kind of outfit you would wear to a fancy restaurant, and her makeup looks like it took a while to do." Zane stated raising an eyebrow to show he was curious.

"That is a little weird, maybe she's making plans for a date with Kai?" Jay stated as more of a question, he hadn't realised his face sunk a little after he said it .
